I just sooo love Taya!! She’s got me hooked on her and Hillsong! I first came upon her when I was searching for Christian songs on utube and came upon her singing in Israel too me the best Christian song.. Oceans where feet may fall..my gosh I listen to it before sleeping and getting up in the morning and just loved her shaved head she looked great..at first I thought she was gay but upon doing research on her.. she is normal!! I have her singing that song in three different videos..can’t get enough of her..please, please come to Nee York!!😘

Taya identified herself completely with Jesus she doesn't live to please the image of a "perfect woman" if she wants to shave her hair, it's hair! That doesn't limit her to what she can and can't do, she wants to wear oversized clothes that's completely up to her, but she lives everyday spreading the gospel being a missionary, what everyone was placed in the world to do, most of you guys who are judging her appearance probably don't do half of the things she does, I hear a lot about her "money" she's a singer along with that comes fame and money she didn't do it for the money or fame she did it because god gifted her with a beautiful voice to sing his praise and to lead others in singing his praise that's her calling, and it just so happens that people all around the world love her just like you should so just please focus on your relationship with god and your calling in this world and instead of bringing each other down let's lift each other up for the glory of god! We are all brothers and sisters in Christ ❤️❤️

KittyEars&Headbands her hair was destroyed from bleaching it too many times she didn't do it to look like a man, there is a difference. I also don't understand why people have to be so rude about it and so unforgiving, I'm pretty sure In The Bible it says you should pray for each other and still love one another no matter what, as we are brothers and sisters in Christ. shaved hair doesn't mean you should dislike the person, the only one to judge her is god no one is perfect enough to be the judge. I hope you get where I'm coming from. God bless❤️

Lloyd Templos I was just explaining the reasoning behind Taya shaving her head as a lot of people are stating that she wanted to "look like a man and that's why she did it", I understand that people are upset because it goes against gods word, I'm just simply saying that we shouldn't judge her because we ourselves aren't nearly perfect enough to be the judge. The reason I said judging was because in most of the comments I've read there was a lot judgmental things being said about her, no one was offering to explain anything. That's why I commented the way I did, it wasn't in the intention to force my opinion. Thanks for the Bible verses!❤️

Lloyd Templos God also tells you, you should cut your arms and gouge your eyes out if it causes you to stumble. But yet here you are with eyes and arms. Something's in the Bible aren't meant to be taken literal! It's a metaphor.

I criticized her saying she looked more like a boy, but then something came to me. It was the word. It said imagine just looking at a soul full of spirt no image of ugly or perfect.and I saw a beautiful soul full of light and said wow this is what we are, not what our image is. People look at us in the outside but we judge without seeing their inside. That's when I notice it doesn't make her less of a woman or less of a Christian. Because her soul and spirt are beautiful.

@@joehallam1231 Oh young man. You are out of your depth here. Taya had damaged her hair from too much coloring. Also, when we judge others we are doing exactly what Jesus told us not to do. That is between her and Jesus, who will intercede for her as he does for all of us. Our focus is our own yard. We are to keep our own yard clean. When it is clean and perfect (I have yet to meet someone that has achieved this), then we are to help others with theirs. Best of luck.

I grew up in church and although I no longer go, i love listening to worship music. I thought boy if taya came to church i bet so many people would comment on her style. Then i look at the comments and yep, confirmed. Exactly why I stay away from churchy people but keep doing you hillsong. Making beautiful music for the one that matters most 🙏🏼

Meldoesmakeup Not all churches are like that. I'm sorry you've had a crappy experience, I have too. My church is anything but that. I recently cut all my hair off and everyone cared but nobody was rude, it was very positive, and nobody threw scripture at me or anything like that.

it is very sad that US the Church, the body of Christ argue about who is holy and who isn't. Now imagine everyone who sees us from the outside. I have nothing else to say but this, We must just Pray that God does his will in our lives and guide us.

I love them because they don't have to wear the most strange and/or expensive guardments. They are so simple and still so magnificent and excellent performers! Going against all expectations of what the merchandise world know as artists!

How refreshing to see this group in the culture but not defined by it! Just like parents want their kids to be real and be all that God made them to be, not to be shaped by a career, or a sport, or ambition, and never cave into the box that people want to put you in, so we are God's kids and He wants us to live in that freedom. We should give due respect and honor to everyone made in His image.

Loving how much all of them enjoy themselves while worshipping God, especially Taya. She really inspires me on giving everything to God and loving Him wholeheartedly and living my life for Him and not for anyone else's. Plus, Taya's voice is so wonderful and so overwhelming to hear.

As Christians we cannot be one verse believers. The idea of women keeping their hair long is due in part to the book Leviticus. It goes on to say we cannot eat pork, wear cotton blah blah blah (it's a lot I'm not being disrespectful:-)) anyways .. if she is confident doing this and if she likes it then fine. She is still a beautiful creature in God's eyes and He is not going to judge her on this. ITS HAIR. It doesn't change who she is as a person. And if for whatever reason any of you have to cut your hair for any reason at all let's hope you don't think God is going to be angry at you or that you are less of a person. It just makes no sense and there is no argument to be had.

Well, don't really want to argue about this, but want to point out that it is not just from Leviticus, it is not just from some old dusty ancient Mosaic Covenantal text, 1 Cor 11:5 But any woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered disgraces her head, for it is one and the same thing as having a shaved head. There is a lot more wrong with Hillsong's theology than one talented singer with a shaved head.

I think the reason why Taya buzzed her hair is to shun the way people judge others by their looks. Its not about the hair, the skin, or the way they dress. I think she's not only making a statement, but also taking another step showing how much she depends on how God sees us. Not the way we see others.

Its not about what we as people think or our intentions , it is the plain truth that Jesus is Holy and we must be holy. We need to ask ourselves ... are we ready for Jesus's coming? Are we holy? Does this lead you to seek God or to like this band because they look cool , sing a pretty song , & say Jesus once? Satan can say Jesus... Satan goes to Jesus and asks Him if he can afflict Gods children... Let us seek God and repent , for if we do not repent , we will all die in our sins no matter how pretty this song might be. But remember, Christianity isn't just a ticket to get into heaven, its so much more. By the way, the verse you quoted "Many will say Lord Lord and the Lord will tell them apart from me I never knew you" YOU didn't finish it. I relate with 'Wonder' because I feel such joy and peace when I see God's creation. I have a joyful, childlike excitement and response to the beauty around me and I think sometimes God chooses to use my love and focus on nature to speak to me in a unique way. In those quiet relaxed moments where I feel at peace in nature, sometimes he speaks to me. I think God made the world beautiful because it is a reflection of him. So when we are in awe of his creation, we are also in awe in him... Just like how God can speak to people differently or in unique ways, he can use the unique talents and creative ideas of artists to speak into people's lives in different ways. So just because the music sounds different than their previous albums doesn't mean it can't worship God or reach people's hearts... BTW you guys sounded amazing. Thank you for working hard to steward the gifts God gave you and for creating an album we can enjoy and worship God with.
