One more point from Ethics point of view Birla. We should never stop our vehicle on the road, unless otherwise an emergency breakdown or we parked at a place where sufficient space available without making any hindrance to other vehicles and our parked vehicle clearly visible to both direction. During night time, if emergency parking is needed, keep the parking light on and try to place the emergency triangle reflector..

Sir, Well explained the safety precautions for a hill drive. Every four month I go for a hill drive. As you said I really enjoy while driving on hills. This week my trip is to Munnar, 950 km from Karaikal. My average fuel consumption is 20.5 km/l with a Baleno petrol car. What all we consume on excess on uphill will be averaged during downhill. Ofcourse with lower gear and engine brake.
