Hillman Imp - Brands Indy - Super touring power pre66 Race1
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
We made it to Brands Hatch!
After a rapid engine rebuild we managed to get the car back together and race fit for the Super touring power weekend down at Brands.
7 Imps on the grid for Sunday's races on the Indy circuit which is excellent.
I was on some 8 year old tyres so was mainly there to have some fun and see if the engine I put together on the Friday would survive a race day!
Again a big thanks to Shrigley engineering for the machining.
Thankyou to Dad for sponsoring me a set of steel conrods to fit to this engine.

Thanks! They sound great don’t they!
wow you went past AJ around the 16 min mark like he was a parking cone..... and I know he's rather quick. Sure you car don't weight just under 500Kg ?... we all had difficulty reading that scale at Mallory
~9:50 - Was that a VW Type 3 (variant coupe)? Just the only previous time I saw one of those on track it was a Modified saloon (spaceframe chassis and silhouette GRP body)
Sounds so good..... I find Brands Hatch a boring track.

I love brands it’s suits the imps well, but it’s a very short lap
This track is easy...just brake a little and turn right at the pail blue imp
I grew up with these cars when I lived in Britain in the 70s. The imp engine must have been the most unreliable engine.
