Hillman Imp and Ford Mondeo visit Rustival 2024 - is it the friendliest show on Earth?

We cannot thank Matt from @furiousdriving Ian and Carley from @HubNut and Steph from @idriveaclassic enough for the utterly fabulous Rustival 2024 event. So many cars, so much variety and so much fun.
We took our 1976 Hillman Imp Basic (the last Imp Basic ever built) and our 1998 Ford Mondeo 1.8LX (ex-Furious Driving channel) from Northants to Gaydon, cross country because the Imp's temporary engine is a bit iffy...
The idea of the event is "come as you are" - all vehicles are welcome, irrespective of condition. As a result, there was none of the stuffiness you get at some shows.

Really enjoyed this! I didn't get any chance to look around so relying on content creators like yourself to capture the moment! Really appreciate the comments on organisation and marshalling - my team focused a LOT on getting this right, and I'm lucky to have some amazing staff who make it a success.

I'm glad your imp made it some real variety there , might go myself next year in my car , if I can get the diesel pump to stop leaking.
Thank you for sharing. I hope to do it next time, I had other stuff going on this year. I have been following Ian and Matt for quite a few years now so I'm not surprised the event packed out.
Looks like a great friendly event, yellow Volvo (2:48), I only remember as a DAF... in my youth years.. but I have to admit, since my 60th I started more interested in the classic (& prewar) cars, before only bikes...
There are a few different videos of rustival going artound which is good because everyone homes in on different cars like the tr2 for example 👍👍

The funniest part of your was that white Tesla recharging also l was wondering what happened to the Ford Mondeo Matt cleaned up and sold also Rootes Group not very well represented the only other Hillman that l saw was the 1960 Hillman Minx station wagon and in Australia we never got some of these cars and not many okder Cortinas and there was a Toyota Hilux and a couple of Toyota's one l didn't recognise and that lovely Toyota Corana whuch we have in Australia and there a couple driving around and they would be worth a lot of money in Australia because Australians love Toyotas

The Mondeo is my daily driver. It was for sale for a while but I've decided to hang onto it

@@Morgans_Miles We get them in Australia not very popular don't see many as for Hillman Imps only see them for sale and they don't sell
