Hillbilly Solar Setup: Patching together a solar setup to run the well pump

We got a new solar controller, and we are frankensteining our old system together to run our well pump. This video shows what we had, and how it has changed I meet our current needs. We will keep adding and changing as time goes on, but we gotta start somewhere!

    just found your channel, Im a hillbilly from Alberta Canada trying to go off grid. you two got a nice setup going on there with the whole place, Lots of work but well worth it in the end to have more freedom and self reliance. peace

    Ampinvt seems to be decent equipment…you just have to keep a check on the voltages as those displayed are often wrong

    yes, the dc voltages are a bit all over the place. everything seems to check out on the ac output. the only other issue so far is we seem to have to load the generator to get it to accept the input. aside from that..works great for a fair price.

    @@Hillbillies-do-stuff I have the ampinvt mppt charge controller 60 amp which seems to work good but the voltage was off by almost half of a volt…that half of a volt matters on my system cause I have four mppt controllers working together…if one drops out then I lose 3000 watts
