This is part of the NOEASY album (meant to sound like Noisy) and this album is a clap back to people who call their music nothing but noise. All the songs are amazing and the lyrics in all the songs are so witty (there's lots of Korean wordplay in this sing especially) I love CHEESE because it's so passive aggressive and the entire hook is just repeating "yeah" which I bet really struck a nerve in the haters lol

The cheeses they mentioned in the song are all types of cheese with low lactic acid, so people who are lactose intolerant can still eat them & enjoy it. So they are likening their music to different kinds of cheese that everyone can enjoy. When listing the fingers, the adlibs in the background say "thumb, pointer, ring, pinky" so what you are left with is the middle finger. But if you follow the main part, it's a thumbs up. The line in Cheese where Felix goes "Look. Why'd you say it like that?" is actually a reference to the survival show from before they debut. The episode where Minho was trying not to be eliminated & messed up, Felix asked him why he messed up. And since he was still learning Korean, he did it in a kinda accusatory way. People constantly reminded him of this, saying that exact expression. We know he didn't mean it the way it sounded, but people seemed to like using that against Felix. Also in Cheese, where Han is running from a dino, is a reference to their song Chronosaurus. In that song, they likened time to a monster. They used Chrono for time, and a modification of the Kronosaurus. (Which is a type of pliosaurus that's fossils were found in Australia.) People also had a lot to say (hate) about that song too....Which sucks. Because it's one of my fave songs. The "Cawing of Crows" is a reference to their song Awkward Silence. The other birds are references to types of people. Pigeons are the type of people that flock to something new & scatter just as quick. Magpies are the people who are attracted by shiny new things, and then set about heckling everyone in the vicinity. The Headache is a reference to their song Side Effects. A-class vibes are again, a reference to Gods Menu. The chorus of them just repeating Yeah, is in response to people saying their music is repetitive noise. So they sang it in a taunting way. The part with them talking about "biting, chewing, etc." is in reference to the people who pick small parts of the song to "like", but say the rest is horrible. They had to have consumed it in order to do that, so why not say you enjoyed it instead of complaining. Cheese itself is a rather interesting concept. "Smile for the camera. Say cheese." How often do we hear/say that? Stray Kids know that anytime they are outside, there will be cameras. Sometimes they will have to put on a smile whether they want to or not. I.N has said in old interviews that he smiles so that people won't worry, especially his members. He has also mentioned in some vlog or another, that when he was in elementary school his classmates told him he looked too scary & he should smile more to not look mean. So that is why we rarely see him without a smile. He has been doing that since he was small. So in this video, whenever they smiled for "Cheese" it was rarely a smile that reached their eyes. You notice that at the last "cheese" where they were gathered around the camera, as soon as they said that their smiles fell & they looked disappointed & disgusted as they walked away. The only time they looked truly happy was when they were together & when running through the shredded post-its. (Which were almost all things people have said about them. Some good. Some lovely. Lots bad. Annoying. Loud. Bad leader. So many things that have been sent to them in hate. So what did they do? They papered a room, they wore them, they fought them, they shredded them into confetti to run in.)

Well written as always Stay @GolyenHighway. I did have your back if needed lol.. I found some more hidden diss to add as shared by other Stays and I am sure that there are more in there... Found these on the Stayville post-it bulletin board: ➕ 'Du-du-du-du-du is funny': people has always dragged god's menu for being noisy, and was called "construction music" (which they also made fun of in GM video) ➕ 'What's funny about A class vibes': this has various meanings but the one I saw was SKZ referring to their music build from 0, no samples taken, no other producers involved. "A" class compositions means all the song & lyrics were made by them, not from someone else. ➕ When Hyunjin talk about his hair, outfit, etc., it’s because each time he changes his hair, every idol & others, seem to copies him. ➕ Thousands of post-its in the room: a metaphor to all the things they are told, and also, looks like cheese slices.., so brilliant ➕ Seungmin in IG live w/viewers: all eyes on SKZ, on what they're doing no matter if you're a fan or not, you're watching them ➕ Seungmin called himself a clown & we should fly together. a reference to Stephen Kings "IT". End Result is that they are collecting haters-like victims down the rabb(it) hole, making them STAY on of their best songs.🖖🏼

I haven't taken the time to read the comments that fly by (and I can't read Korean) or the user names. I was told that those have things to watch for as well. And the point that the views on his live were infinity.

The point of the song is disdain against haters. Little fun fact: in the prechorus, the say to fold fingers: index, middle, ring and pinky. Which leaves you with a thumbs up. Stray Kids always answering hate with positivity. BUT, in the background adlibs, in between the fingers names, there's Lee Know (who else?) who gives a different list, znd leaves you with a middle finger up 😁

In the finger part when it goes index, middle, ring, pinky finger a few times underneath on index and middle it is said thumb and index instead. This makes the middle finger instead of a thumbs up. They act like it isn't there and quite a few people who don't know any Korean miss it. Honestly so cheeky and I love this song for all of those little "f you"s they give

I think the A-class vibes is Back Door. Also I've always seen observations about the folding fingers part that Han corrects middle finger to thumb in the ad libs making the middle finger the remaining one left up (which is so iconic if that's what they were doing with that lol)

Glad u enjoyed the song. I know I am. I was obsessed with the song for the longest time. And clapping back to the haters, it is just so satisfying. The word play with the “cheese” , and actually mentioned few type of cheese in the song, and mentioning all the references from their other songs, it just clever. And as usual with stray kids, they enjoyed the process from the lyric to the MV. Love their creativity.

The song is a satire towards hate, achieved in the best possible way in my opinion, everything structured to emphasize how they as a public figure have to smile and endure the hate, the criticism is always with a good face, it is great how they achieve it, I like them Thank you for your reactions.

To add, while the lyrics may seem nonsensical (and some of it is) A lot of it references to their eariler work: "You find DU DU DU DU DU DU funny?" and "Is the pigeon and the magpie funny to you?" = God's Menu "What's so funny about a headache?" = Side Effects also the chorus is telling the listener to put up the surfer hand motion (pinky and thumb out) if you listen just to the main vocals, but if combined with the backing echo, instead they're instructing you to put up your middle finger lmao
