I can't believe so many people believe Wendy was moving her mouth. He was operating a mask that was placed over her face. After dozens of complaints, he was investigated by the RSPCA, but they found no abuse. She was a very happy dog.

Everytime I come across this video I have to watch it. Such a smart dog. Even though it is ventriloquism it is amazing how Wendy mouths the words at the right time.

No, she doesn't mouth the words. He operates a mask he places over her face. The RSPCA got numerous complaints but it was determined she didn't suffer any abuse.

@@sofiadawood6041 It was just over Wendy's nose. Marc is a ventriloquist, and he was doing the voice for Wendy. The mouth movements were a mask operated by remote control. This act received numerous complaints from viewers who convinced themselves that Wendy was shaking and distressed or under duress during this act. The RSPCA investigated and observed Wendy and Marc off camera and during a performance and concluded that no harm was being done and that Wendy was very happy.

At about :52 & you can see her sweet little face. There's a very well matched snout & mouth mask on her during the performance. At :42 you can see the close up where her face doesn't look quite right, out of proportion & the angle is wrong at the "bridge" of her nose/snout. It would be tough to convince me that the guys backstage, as well as the judges, didn't know the trick before hand & weren't just going along with it.

I am falling over laughing ! Simon REALLY thought Wendy was talking ! HAHAHA.

I imagine a mask like that can be pricey & getting a dog to wear it without complaint is pretty talented.

I wish his act was longer with Wendy. I have a older Bichon Frise that looks so much like Wendy and she is now totally blind. I could watch Marc & Wendy for as long as they could perform~! Great act. Shalom

It is one of the few times I do NOT want to see behind the curtain and know how it is done. The performance is so completely charming. The man and the dog are a perfect compliment to one another in their manner. The man is exceedingly clever for tailoring the routine to make the most of the dog's personality.

@@CIS101 I never watched them, so much fake stuff with the reactions (audience & staff/cast/judges alike) & set ups, etc. I'll occasionally watch some of the highlights on YT though. Some really interesting acts!
