@@aclonymous You can use the c-stick to activate in the correct direction, or even just hold the analog stick in the right direction. He was probably just betting on a good combination or Hatchet Man to be there again (even though spells don't appear twice in a row, but he might have thought).

@Fwuffycodbunny He was still vulnerable for a very long time do to slow. He kept getting behind him because the Toon Link didn't know the range and position of his own attacks. Thats all on him.

I'm not a fan of bans and nerfs but Hero's smashes should have a chance to be much weaker like damn near everyone else's rng.

Use a calculator: All of Hero’s special moves (includes all three versions of Neutral, Side and Up and random Down) are stronger than Ganondorf’s whole moveset!! Combined!! Alongside stealing Jigglypuff’s sleep, Snake’s recovery, Sonic’s speed, Shulk’s monado arts, Death’s Scythe, etc. Wait till they get Wonderwinged...

True, but in terms of height, Snake goes higher, Hero returns to the stage like everyone else. With Accelerate, even though Hero is faster than Sonic, the bunny hood wont help him in Big Blue.

Jokes apart, saying that Hero is at a significant advantage is wrong : He is slow, at ton of starting-up/ending lag, very vulnerable to rusher/zoner. Yes, he has very strong tools, but if you're hit by a fully charged SideB (slow, only around him) or NeutralB (slow as well, very little shield damage). DownB is a RNG nightmare, in both ways. Only real bad things about Hero is random crit. That is the real bullshit.

@Joshua Suh Okay my apologizes too it was actually a meme about Ace Attorney sorry about that. Still, you cant really compare infiniteCypher and Monado's Arts to Hero's moveset. Monado doesn't works with probabilities like Hero's DownB (Accelerattle is 1/4 to happen, Oomph then Psych Up is in theory 1/4 +1/15 but there's ton of condition and it's in fact way more hard to predict), and Cypher is absolutly different, because Hero doesn't have a nearly infinite recovery. And Zoom is very predictable and luck-based (1/2 to have it near blastzone, 1/4 if not) so it's not a good consistent option.

There are two more logical reasons; getting it in a top deck, and then purposely using it when everything else isn’t good to make sure it won’t appear on your next draw
