Hiking With Seth #5 | Melissa & I and the Awkward Pic

Комедия

My other best buddy and I go for a hike in the hills overlooking the Napa Valley and vineyards. Melissa is a long lost friend that I lost contact with for 25 years! I've known her since we were wee little kids. Our two families were so tight, Melissa and her family are like family to me. I grew up with Melissa, her brother and her parents. She's like my sis!
So after life happened and we lost contact, we found each other on Facebook (thank you Mark Zuckerberg!) and re-connected. She hopped on a train and came down from Oregon to visit my wife and I for a week and hang out, catch up on old times, visit other mutual friends and go for some hikes. This is one of the hikes during our reunion where we reminisce on one of our childhood memories from a long ago era.

Seth, wouldn't it be funny if a familiar old man came walking up the trail saying, "You're suspicious, are you a trail drug dealer?" Congrats on finding Melissa again! 😲🙏

It sure would be! I'd end up with another viral video. That video with the accusatory old man has hit 2.8 million views. I never expected the video to blow up like that. I'd have to say that the chance of encountering another hiker on that trail where Melissa and I were is close to 0%, as it's on my grandparent in-law's private property, which is one of the draws of hiking there. No other people around. :)

@Brandon Tindiil 1) Respect is not automatically earned, regardless of age. Being old does not give someone a free pass to be a jerk. 2) You said, _"He didn't attack you or use abusive language."_ And neither did I. I never once disrespected him. 3) Was he respectful for coming at me with unfounded accusations? 4) You said, _"Shame on you for putting him out on KZread like that."_ It's a free country. I was exercising my First Amendment rights of my country. I had every legal right to post the interaction online. 4) _"It's not a competition on who can get one over on each other."_ Exactly! Thank you for proving my point. This was never a competition for me. So your argument is moot. 5) _"You still have a lot of growing up to do."_ Not sure what you mean by that or how you come to that conclusion. I handled the situation quite maturely in fact. I didn't cuss him out or disrespect him in any way. I didn't make any assumptions about him and kept the video strictly on the facts. I'll tell you this. You seem like an angry person with a bone to pick with everything. You went on an angry rant about my Freddie Mercury Halloween costume and gave me shit for it. And now this. You think that just because someone is older they deserve MORE respect, despite how they act. That seems like ageist favoritism to me. People deserve respect based on their character and how they treat others, not based on their age. Get off your soap box, stop acting so righteous and stop virtue signaling. And quit trying to bring other people down.

Did you see the video of the 25 year old girl who met the guy who moved into her old house, they fell in love when they met. Her mother found 20 year old photos from a Europe vacation which proved the families had met once before! Complete with awkward hug!
