When I was 16 in 1994 (now 46) my friend and I camped there and hiked to constatation lake at the start of the steep switch backs. It was an amazing hike. Back then you didn't need a stupid pass to hike the lands that belong to us!

It was most certainly wonderful and magical. Good job and thanks for watching! 👍
Good video. You folks made amazingly good time for a couple of old farts. My average time was 16 hrs. in my early 50's. I am hoping to do it again sometime if not for recent circulation problems in my legs. I can at least still make the hike to Lone Pine Lake for now.

Anytime time is a good time. Hope you are able to get back out on the trail. Thanks for kind words! 😀
How do you train downhill? More hiking?

Great question. Find a hike in your area that has a good downhill. We have a 6-mile out and back hike in our area that is a steep 3-mile climb and a 3-miller killer downhill that we will do twice when getting ready for a hike like Whitney or the Grand Canyon that does it for us.
