Hiking the Finger Lakes, Taughannock Falls is spectacular!
Taughannock Falls state Park has multiple trails and amenities. Taughannock Falls is not to be missed if you are in the area… some travel specifically to the Ithaca area to see these falls.
The gorge trail takes you to the bottom of Taughannock Falls. It is about a mile and a quarter out and back. This gorge trail is fairly easy with many benches to rest and take in the beauty. This is one of the few gorge trails open in the winter months in the area.
Taughannock Falls plunges 215 feet past rocky cliffs that tower nearly 400 feet above the gorge, making it the tallest single-drop waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains. The gorge and rim trails offer spectacular views from above the falls and from below at the end of the gorge trail.

@lisamonalisahikes I'm sure it will. It's nice also for your friends and family. If you kick the bucket😂 they have videos saved and stored. I had a few people asking where is this? Or they went because they watched it. I got no comments for ages on my videos😁 You can see for yourself on older videos. Some recently have looked back at older videos. It took me about a good few months to pick up a little bit. You are doing better than I was😉 You film good too. I was quick moving the camera and things like that. I'm a little better now. Shorts have been good for me. It all takes time. Keep having fun❤️

@@JamieHarding5unfortunately some video I took on one of my bucket list hikes I forgot to turn camera 🤦♀️ It’s so beautiful and pains me to share the video but at the same time want to share it cause it was so beautiful. I’m trying to figure out how to make it look nice. I have learned to not turn to fast while filming (making people dizzy that watch) but I am trying 😅 I am so grateful for all your kind words and encouragement. So much I’d like to do and so many hikes and places I’d like to share. Currently it’s just me and my iPhone - I did purchase a simple microphone to cut down on wind while I walk but nothing fancy. My two main goals currently is to speak more easily and improve my quality of videos (and learn how to hold a camera that is not a strange angle making myself have a triple chin😂) Happy trails my friend

Wow, this makes me wanna get out and hike more.. hopefully I'll have the change next month! (Right now I don't live around too many trails or hikes) I love reconnecting with nature - it totally fills up my soul in a way that nothing else can. Lisa, this is great! There is a whole kind of video where there’s no talking… maybe look at those for inspiration. I think they are called silent vlogs. But gosh that was a beautiful hike.
