Hiking Grandfather Mountain | Climbing the Famous Ladders to MacRae Peak on the Grandfather Trail
In this video, join us as we first make a short stop to experience the iconic mile-high bridge at Grandfather Mountain. Then follow along as we hike, scramble, and climb to MacRae Peak on the Grandfather Trail. This trail has a wide variety of beautiful natural features and some unique physical and mental challenges such as climbing steep rock faces using stationary cables and ladders. We were rewarded with stunning views and fantastic scenery from start to finish!

I like hiking but there’s no way I would do that trail, this had my anxiety through the roof, lol. I love the mountains but anywhere i could possibly fall off I say clear of. Great video, thank you for sharing it.
That Underwood Trail is no joke though. Seemed harder than going back the way you went up! Good video.
very cool...I have been there twice both times in the winter and it was icy so I stayed on the suspension bridge..I would like to do the ladders one of these days next time I am up that way!
