Great video. Thanks for taking us along with you. Awesome.
Epic hike. Those stairs were wild but that view... subbed! Looking forward to seeing more from you!
Thanks! I wish I were as good with heights. But at least that chain can serve as a banister while making the climb
Much nice if you bring drones.. keep safe ❤
Excellent...beautifull...Rio is mixed, city, forest, beach, parks, historical center, falls, mountains, lagoons...

Pretty spectacular! It must be well worth the effort once you're right up at the peak. Thanks for sharing.

Nice.... Welcome to Morroco 🌹😊🌹
Wow. I don't think I could have handled that. Yikes! Beautiful views, though!
How do you get down? Is it as steep on the way down?
The views are stunning. I need to go there one day.

Thanks mate!
What’s the record from sea level, approximately 4.1 slant miles?
The stairs were carved by slaves when the Emperor of Portugal and Brasil came during the Napoleonic wars. He wanted to go to the peak but it wasn't "fit for him", so they carved those out with blood and sweat of enslaved people.

Like so many things that are amazing in this world, there is a story of oppression behind them. Thank you for the information!

@@nomineriailegalco528 I'd say it's always best to go with at least one other person. But on this hike there are plenty of people around so I'd say it's safe if you need to go alone.
Imagine walking there with a muzzle on 😂
Thanks for posting - just saw these stairs listed on Pinterest

Ah I did! They were all over up there! I shot some video of them from Gavea. I need to put it together!
Are there snakes???
Question: what happens if you’re going up the stairs and encounter someone coming down?😰😰😰 Where do you go? There’s nowhere to step aside and let people pass😳😳😳And for the record, you couldn’t pay me eenough to go up those- lol! Just watching you gave me vertigo, especially since noone appeared to be holding the chains, everyone was just casually strolling up them- lol.

Basically we just kind of waited at the wider areas for people who were going the other direction. It wasn't overly crowded, but I could see it being a challenge on a busy day. I say go for it and see how you feel! It's beautiful up there!

@@dontworryimfinite Yeah, that’s not gonna happen- lol. I was telling people on Facebook today about the third and final time my parents tried to get me to go into the Grand Canyon with them when I was younger. I got nauseous the very first glimpse of the canyon and it become full blown vertigo by the time we parked on the north rim. I couldn’t stand up because my legs were shaking so bad and ended up sitting in the car sweating an nauseous while they took pics by the edge- lol. I love the outdoors, hiking, rafting, etc. and it would be the ultimate outdoor experience for me but I’m afraid it’s not meant to be- lol. Watching this video even made me a little nauseous😬
