Sorry about the spelling error of Daniel's last name at the end of the video. It's "Reoch"
I'm not sure how that happened, most have been spell correct that I didn't notice. Either way my apologies. 🙏and Marshall's last name. Iwaasa in the opening and the candle vigil at the end. I'm truly sorry for this error.
Hello everyone, in today's video we will be discussing a case that started in November, 2019. A group of hikers were set to hike the Phelix Creek Trail in effort to get to Brian's Waddington Hut in remote British Columbia, Canada. After the reached the end of the logging road where the trailhead began, they found something unbelievable. They found a burnt-out pickup truck that in their opinion smelled fresh.. so much so that they took various pictures then went to the authorities.
It was found to be the vehicle of Marshall Iwaasa (26) who was last seen 14 hours away in Lethbridge.
Another disappearance that occurred within hours of Marshall being reported missing was that of Daniel Reoch (29) who vanished from Squamish, British Columbia.
Both men remain missing to this day.
If you have any information regarding either of these cases please contact your local RCMP office or for Marshall contact The Lethbridge Police Department at: 403-327-2210.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Marshall Iwasa and Daniel Reock, their family, friends and all their loved ones🙏🙏 I hope and pray both men are found soon🙏

Hello! I wanted to apologize for the misspelling of Marshall's last name, " Iwaasa" and Daniel's last name " Reoch " I'm not sure how that happened as I studied this case for weeks..but I do sincerely apologize 🙏 Thank you for understanding and for watching!

There was another channel that covered Daniels story with a few more details and the fact that it reeked of a crime and the Whistler RCMP said there was nothing is suspicious means they know something and is a cover up by them. The RCMP needs to be investigated..Their was a mention that a tough guy scary dude met with Daniel at a pub and that scary dude was really pis sed, so prob a gang member and possibly related to the corrupt Whistler RCMP..

Bryan, sometimes steering wheels are removed to steal a car. Using vice grips to steer.
I’ve heard many such stories and the RCMP falls short in many respects.
This is a total mess - great work from RCMP !!!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't rely on them to help me find a missing dog. !!!!
Oh my gosh, If I ever go missing please don't let the RCMP be in charge of the investigation.
Unfortunately lots of times ppl are off into things their families know nothing about. 😢
I would never want to have to rely on the RCMP for anything ever. How terrible for the famlies of these men and prayers that they someday find their missing and the truth behind their disappearances. Thank you for keeping these cases alive Bryan

What are you talking about? The RCMP are amazing....they helped me find a family member who was mentally ill and needed health care. Have you ever had any dealings with them?
It’s outrageous that Marshall’s case was not investigated thoroughly by the RCMP. The arson in itself is criminal, and all the circumstances around the discovery of the burnt out truck are extremely suspicious. What are the things a family can do to have accountability in such circumstances?

Suffer in silence. People will make you suffer more if you try. It's way worse than anyone can possibly imagine.
Really! The sad fact is that many law enforcement agencies today are lazy. I've experienced it myself.
I agree about steering wheel. Someone drove that truck out there and didn’t want their DNA on it.
This is an absolutely crazy story! So many things about each case is unbelievable! You did a great job presenting the facts! I pray that the right person or persons will see this video and the quilt will get them to do the right thing!

That's right, forgot about that. and that's the common factor here. The age range is as erroneous as made up numbers for cholesterol, I'm betting on anything from 20 - 30 yrears old.
The family should hire a private group with Cadaver dogs to go to the scene. If someone was running down to the creek and is dead on the other side in the brush the dog can find them. Even many years later a cadaver dog can still detect death.
Thank you Bryan for another outstanding video!! 🙂 The way the RCMP handled this is beyond ridiculous!!! How on earth is this not suspicious?? 🤔 Yikes!! Are they that incompetent or just lazy? Anyway, thanks again and greetings from Northern Virginia (Manassas area).

Barely Sociable did a very in depth look at this case and the more you look at the details the more disturbing it gets. One thing of note that wasn't mentioned here is that the witness at the bar knew of the Cody Lewis cooler before the photograph was released (supposedly the information was leaked prior in a social media post, but I can't tell if this was the same post where the witness at the bar recounted his experience or if it was a separate comment made by someone else). And finally the vehicle was removed shortly after Barely Sociable's video on the case was released.
Not trying to take away from the victim or case but I wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed your way of telling the story. I often zone out on a lot of true crime channels but I actually listened to every word you told. The only others who do that for me is Steve Stockton from missing persons mysteries and truly criminal. So welcome to my top 3 true crime channels. And I hope Marshall and his family find some answers.
Incredible Video, but very sad these families still have no answers.. I can't believe that guy went out and took the truck away:( Hopefully someone who has info will come forward! Thank you for your wonderful presentation!

Wow! Weird case. I don’t know what to think. I hope this case gets solved. I agree that it had to be foul play.
So sick and tired of cops making up every excuse they can come up with not to investigate something, while they're way too busy bothering people who aren't doing anything wrong, because apparently that's more fun for them. Sooo sick and tired of it.
Interesting, but so mysterious. As always you've given their cases a new light. Thank you.

Don't fuel stations all have cctv? You can't make it 14 hours with 1 tank of fuel can you?
I wonder if he was locked into a storahe unit by someone that stole his truck from there and then burnt the truck when they couldn't use it anymore. Have they checked every single unit at the storage facility
If Marshal was 12 hour drive away surely he stopped for fuel. wheres the footage from that

Interesting that you said both men might be connected to the police. I thought the same thing as I listened--what if the police cannot openly admit they were plants/informants without admitting what they were doing to the public?
thank you. prayers and blessings to all from nashville tennessee. 09 june 2024.
While I know nothing of the case or those involved, I believe the hypotheses listed at the end are quite good. Very odd circumstances. The fact that Iwaasa was creating a computer game rather says it all about his intelligence. Yet, smarts alone do not prevent someone from being criminally involved, often helping them. Thank you for sharing these stories. Thanks for sharing it.
Thk you Bryan for all that you do to help the lost and their families. God bless you!
Sometimes these cases leave me confused with so many unanswerable questions 😮
Thank you for your hard work. I love listening. You have an amazing voice!
I know about it. I seen posters up. Im from lethbridge myself. There was another lady that went missing from here too. Heather was her name, irish lady. They did find her but her death sounded suspicious and the lethbridge police gave the blood tribe police the investigation since thats where her body was found. She was a very kind soul, i feel for her
Was the steering column or steering wheel removed? Huge difference. If someone took the time to remove the actual steering column, police should probably be looking for someone who owns the same vehicle.
They know exactly who is doing it.
Brian your so COOL!!! AWESOME COVERAGE... You have a DEEP CARING FOR HUMANITY!!Very different from other channels... THANK YOU!

The people that found the truck didn’t mention that they passed anyone so on their way back, they probably didn’t pass anyone I mean so where did the person go that burnt the truck? Also, why not bring in a dog to help search for the person that might’ve been in the truck, this is highly suspicious and definitely a crime scene
Your in depth coverage is impressive and always gives such great insight and inspires a lot of thought into the disappearances you share with us, thank you brother god bless

This case really makes my blood boil. It's obviously foul play, & it's like something is being covered up😮
Seems tied in to me, it's definitely a possibility
Brian i love your stories i am so happy to see KZread pop up that there is a new post from you.
They waited 9 mo. to do the fire investigation... I mean c'mon, what do you expect?! Better late than never, right? Hehe jk that's ridiculous. I'd be pissed at the lack of professionalism by the RCMP if that was my missing loved one!!!
Great work. I appreciate the B roll images
i was just thinking of this case but couldnt remember the finer details or the name.. what a bizarre case. my heart hurts
The Steering Column missing is Bizarre ! No way !!!! This doesn’t coincide with a Suicidal incident ?
I'm surprised anyone would go to the woods or any remote area with all these unexplained missing people. Nothing out there that I'm willing to die just to see. Stay safe, i smell coverups! Lots of them. Latter

My word is “Hog Wash”! 😮 Someone intentionally killed this young man. If I were his family I’d not give up on finding out the truth.
Burning your own property isn't arson. You can burn any of your possessions you see fit as long as it's done in a place where fires are legal. Unless there was solid evidence that Marshall burned his own truck, there's no reason to assume that was the case.
Thank you for sharing this case ❤
Yes, Marshall and ‘party’ are involved.
Great video as usual
The white four door pickup at 8:34 was stripped of its grill, and, in other photos, its tail lights. The four door pickup at 10:19 appears to have a custom roof and interior, also stripped of its grill and blocked by a felled tree.
This was a great upload. To bad there isn’t video of the third man from the bar
Bryan please cover the 19 yo missing hiker in Utah! She supposedly fell in a river at horsetail falls
12:57 it was ripped out not unbolted.
This story is so mysterious for both of these young men . Something is just not right with the investigation if we can say their was one . I think the authority's is guessing about alot of things an still guessing . Such a shame for the family members They havent gotten any closure for their loved ones at all . They ignored the one real thing that could give them some evidence an that was the truck as you said . That truck should have been taken by the authorities an stored in a private location not left out there. Now there is nothing. Very unprofessional. So very sorry for the family's
lots of unanswered questions, media pressure, a profile from missing persons sites can help with procedures and witnesses coming forward. Going backward is essential to finding evidence in the case. Lethbridge could hold many answers to what happened, along with the school he attended and who he was communicating with on social media, students who are in forensics can take on some of the technical components to help find the guy, and answer questions as well. Cyber Sleuths usually have technical experts that can find social and internet information leading to the last people he had contact with. Where did the evidence go that was strewn around the area of the truck. The family should have access to that information. Was there a wider investigation going on tooo...Hope he's found for the families sake.....Great reporting, thanks.
And why wouldn't they fingerprint the lighter
The family pays the private investigator hence why the private investigator agrees with everything the family pushes.
Thanks
I have seen these before. Still interesting.
there is a case in east-central Illinois that sounds very much like this. turned out it was local LE who committed the murders to cover up their drug dealings. no one was ever arrested.
With all due respect, it sounds like there was a substance abuse issue, and subsequently, mistakes were made. They would have been easy targets.
thank you Bryan.
How sad crazy
I hope Marshal is found one way or the other 😢sad maybe a mental breakdown either way very suspicious regardless 🙏🏼🙏🏼
That's horrible horrible horrible
Sounds like the police department needs to be investigated!!!
24:09 Well family an still do something but it sounds like they're looking for the magic that you all don't comprehend. There are 100 percent understandable answers to many of these questions. Ian Armstrong. Supernatural Beings of Earth.
Interesting story disturbing and sad ❤
Not having a steering column, I'm not quite sure about. I do know about a truck burning up. My clutch was no good. I was stupid and had the brilliant idea of driving through my pasture. I looked in my rearview mirror and the field was on fire. I parked near by my truck, I t tried to put the fire out. Whether it's an accident or a crime. ??
Whose name was on the other IDs found they need to be contacted ASAP

Why were these folks so careless with their own lives?
Daniel’s story sounds like other young people who went on to be diagnosed with schizophrenia. He’s a little older but who knows what the health/MH care is like there or if his family were in the habit of regular care. I’d bet the stuff unattended outside the truck for two days was moved by animals.
From the evidence, in my opinion, this could very possibly be illegal drug activity. These two men could have spent the money from the sale of drugs without paying their dealer(s), which got them murdered. Or, If they were confidential informates for the police, and this information was discovered by who they were selling for, this could also result in their demise. Still this is a very sad situation for both these mens' loved ones. Thank you Bryan for all you do to help the lost be found. ❤
I'm curious why you are assuming he was in or with the truck. Zero evidence shows that his person was ever there.
The cooler could have been moved by a bear, especially if it smelled like food. Bears will move all kinds of things around like that if they think they can get food out of it. Still a very suspicious scene.
The story of Daniel Reoch is very sad because multiple people failed him. He should have been taken to a hospital for evaluation. He needed help and didn’t get it. He died of neglect.
Both cases are very suspicious. Why were there different i.d. info in the burned out truck. RMCP did almost nothing. I believe these cases are connected. You may be right, perhaps they were working for law enforcement. Thanks for another intriguing video.

The RCMP was waiting for a box of donuts and laziness is what happens when you don’t cough up.

Idk, I think it's definitely possible that Marshall did this himself...to a point. I do like your theory, however, I think it would be worth investigating.
❤❤❤
Steering column removed indicates a stolen truck . Where the keys ever found?
❤
He was right to remove the vehicle im discusted cops didn't have it taken in as possible evidence
Animals could have moved things
LETHBRIDGE POLICE - On yiyur radar now am I. Something bad is @ the core of this and that core seems to br associated with Lethridge Police.
Soo frustrating... a car just doesn't start fire on it's own! And where is his phone and computer? Those would have been with him. Why is all his stuff strewn all over the ground like it was done intentionally (to throw the investigation off possibly? Or someone looking for something and tossing things as it's being gone through?) And doing an investigation on it 9 MONTHS LATER!? Ughh.. such incompetency & laziness of the authorities (or worse, it being intentional and the police are somehow involved). Incredibly infuriating. And ya, taking the steering column? How are they overlooking all of this MASSIVE evidence!? He was most likely murdered... And for Daniel, so sad it took so long for him to be reported missing.. again, absolute failure of police. How did they just say the cooler was just "coincidental"? Then you have a WITNESS who seen these 2 missing men TOGETHER who were worried a man was going to MURDER THEM, and then they go MISSING and the police just did nothing about it. Just WOW. Ya, I wouldn't be surprised if they were confidential informants and the police are hiding that. It makes ZERO sense why they would say this isn't suspicious when it soo obviously looks and smells like a murder case. Hoping for the answers for the families, and to be able to bring them home so they can give them a proper burial and say goodbye... 😢 ❤❤ Praying for them ❤ 🙏 Thank you Bryan for bringing this story to our attention, hopefully it'll help with getting information for the investigation, or even just bringing them home finally... ❤
