This was a challenging hike in places and Route 4 is the more strenuous of the ways up, but it also affords the best views. We didn't get as good vistas on our way down Trail 9. If you're up for the challenger, route 4 is the way to go up. Our tracker clocked us at 9 miles for this hike.
