Hike to El Bujero (the eye) in Tenerife 🇮🇨
Challenging hike ahead! 🥾
I went on a mission to find the so called “el Bujero” (known as the eye in English) and see Tenerife from up high! ⛰
This challenging hike starts in Tamaimo, a village in the west coast of the island. On the way up we will stop at three main spots:
1. La Cruz de los Misioneros (a wooden cross which can be seen from the village);
2. Montaña Guama (beautiful views for sure here);
3. El Bujero.
The hike is challenging both way, make sure you have the right shoes, sunscreen (I was burning even though I used it!), enough water and food, and something to cover you up as it can get quite windy on top! Although difficult the views, nature and the challenge make it worth it!

Took my father there when he was 88 years old. Most walkers approache the trail up hill from Tamaimo a better route is to walk down hill untill you come across the Circular Guama-Tamaimo trail. Very steep to start with, you will eventually see the eye but don't walk towards it too soon keep going up almost to the top then walk across this way you will be on your final decent to the eye in just a few minutes apposed to a 30 minute slog if you cross to early there is a hidden ravine and thick vegetation

El Bujero es muy bonito!!! Amazing! I would get lost too! How long was the hike in hours? keep up the Vlogs 👍

Thank you! I started the hike at around 11:25 and went back down at 4 pm. Keep in mind I do stop for the vlog, to take pictures, to rest or have a sneak… half a day for sure though! Thanks for watching and for the comment ☺️
