i had one of these guys for a while. They are awesome fish and grow quick.

I always liked channel cats, beautiful fish! BTW I am a member of NANFA, are you by chance? Have you noticed that the wild caught channel cats have far more spots than the captive raised ones? The wild fish are much prettier IMHO

For the wild vs captive channels coloration wise, I believe the number of spots could be because since the wild fish have a constant threat of predators, it requires the spots to help camouflage itself. While the captive ones have no use for the spots can therefore do not have many/any
