You know, I think it is a dangerous disposition to compartmentalize bboying into “musical / artsy” style and “acrobatics / athleticism”. It is ALL dance. Therefore, it is an “art form” in itself. You don’t need to do certain moves to be validated as a “dancer” or an “expression of a music through dance”. It is personal responsibility of a dancer to show the music in a way that it is understood by those who saw it. You either failed or not. But it is also responsibility of a viewer to be self-aware enough to recognize the music in a move patterns that are alien to his own soul. It is easy to pick your tribe and ostracize another. But easy never came to nothing good. Be wise, my friends. Peace.

I was just thinking that the scene needs a bboy Machine. Here comes HIJack, someone whos not scared to break out of the mold. Unique moves, unique flava, musicality. Only bboy right now thats story telling. Him and the 808 crew have always been dancing like this. They have always been doing weird stuff at battles and having fun 😅. Cant believe its someone from my very own backyard. He not only represents where he's from to the fullest, but also represents what breaking is to me and thats to dare to be original. I think thats why we all chose this hard dance, its because we want to be express ourselves in a way that most people can't. Big ups to HIjack and the 808 breakers, they made it.

Those folks need to check tape on Hijack. There is over a decade's worth of film on him absolutely destroying tracks. Also, I think it is actually a nod to Hijack with all the "colluding" accusations. He is THAT GOOD to where people are in disbelief that he can read music the way he does.
