Much much creepier than the first version of this song, but it still has the sort of sad feeling of the first version... I think it's the voice howling in the background that still gives it a melancholy feeling. It's perfect for the overall feel of Higurashi and everyone's struggle against fate.

I think that way because at least in the first season, Shion was like mean mean and mean, the demon consumed her really quickly so we never saw the kind Shion in stage, let's talk like they were two different people, Shion's demon was always on stage (that's why she's in the light) but the kind Shion was always like... Behind the scenes (that's why she's in the dark)
