Yes. Except he never was, he was deputy PM in a desperate and doomed coalition brokered by the Tories with the Liberal democrats.

Ahh 2016 surely Trump couldn't actually win office. Boris Johnson as Prime Minister what a funny little joke, oh look there is Liz Truss, well she wont get any where. Oh well and least we can enjoy gathering in groups and freely traveling abroad.

I was at a talk he gave to a group of neuroscientists. He's really so much more down-to-earth than most people know. He puts on the serious face for his religious followers because he believes he owes it to them, but when he's himself (as in this interview), he's funny! He made a gaff at our talk - he said as neuroscientists our highest goal should be to find out how to put happiness into a pill. During Q & A someone asked if he cared to elaborate, because we have numerous happy pills already. Nobody laughed louder than he did! Then of course he clarified that he meant happiness without all the negative consequences, just pure happiness. He was getting at the neural underpinnings of what true happiness really is. (He's really into neuroscience.) He's known as the Buddha of Happiness, and he seemed the whole time to be looking for reasons to laugh, mostly at himself. He's really a cool guy, as well as all that other stuff. I could see him at the pub with everyone else, having a laugh and sharing stories, though he'd probably be having tea instead of beer. Now his interpreter is stiff as a plank, never smiling once. I guess it has to be that way. After all, the Dalai Lama is still a world leader.

Wikipedia says: Allegations about Vaz were published by the British tabloid Sunday Mirror in early September 2016. It was reported that he had engaged in unprotected sexual activity with male prostitutes and had told them he would pay for cocaine if they wished to use it.

Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment?"

@@michaelmccarthy9411 I find her to be moderately funny, but her big contribution seems to be, to make everybody else feel more at ease. Everybody likes her, she smiles a lot, and is very selfdeprecating, very willing to make herself look stupid, incompetent or embarraced. She does a job, and does it well !
