People seem to forget that this was supposed to be the episode where they skewered Angus over the things Angus routinely needled guests about. He'd been asked if there were any other scandalous things waiting in the wings, and he said no. Then October came and he was embroiled in another scandal, undermining whatever credibility he had left as host of this show. Ian and Paul were only doing what they did to everyone else on a weekly basis. Why should it be different for Angus?

My feeling is they did no more to him than the three had done to other guests and Ken seemed to handle it well too. It was Gorman who lacked subtlety who ruined it for me.

Well, maybe you have, and your skewed vision -- probably one of those people who thinks when Angus was fired it's all downhill -- has to make up negative personality traits. Poor you.

I' ve watched this episode a few times now. It's now embarrassingly obvious that Paul Merton is a sanctimonious git. Married now many times? While not excusing Angus' behaviour, Paul wandered into cruel territory. Paul's insecurities seem to provoke a nastiness.

Merton is so far up his own backside, get rid of Merton and bring back Angus.
