Children don't always make the right decision and the courts favor the biological family. Just because I have raised and taught the neglected children in my community doesn't give me the right to keep them. Military academies and foster homes would never release children if that was the case.

Makes me wish I had parents, any parents,.even just one..Even till this day in my mid age I wish i could adopt one, or two,.It was an awful upbringing I had, foster care was tough doing without love, food, and happiness..but survived somehow..So kids be good to your parent(s)adults even, be good to them,.they look after you, give back that when they reach older age..

I’m a parent and I have 4 kids one of which is my foster son, his biological mother is actually my cousin but she was on drugs and drinking a lot, he won’t even speak to her and calls me and my husband mum n dad, I love him as if he was biologically my son, I don’t treat him any differently to my other 3 kids, he says he’s the chosen one lol 😂 I say to him I may not have carried him inside my womb but I carry him inside my heart always, id love to foster again but I’m disabled and everything that the kids need falls onto my husband, don’t get me wrong he adores all 4 of our kids but he don’t want to do it again because it’s a lot of work and our foster son had a lot of problems he was 13 when he came to us and his birthday was 8 days after he moved in, his birthday is the 12th December and he moved in on the 4th of December, his biological mother asked him to go back to her place on his birthday and then said to me she didn’t want him there so I told her u have to tell him that I’m not telling him it’s wrong! She told him and he never spoke to her again, I tried to get his two sisters too but they were too scared and she made them lie to social services, she used to pretend she had food all sorts they never once checked her cupboards but every visit they checked ours, I didn’t mind them checking our place it just pissed me off they didn’t check her place, we fell out in the end, she even tried to get him put into care away from us because I showed social services the messages she sent to me bragging how she didn’t have any food because social worker called my son a lier! Even when the girls school told social services that the girls were always dirty, hungry and heads were full of head lice, they did nothing, in the end we had to just shut up and be happy that we made a difference in his life, he’s 22 now and he’s finished college and got a great job with the government? He’s even got his own place and is getting married next year, I couldn’t be prouder of him, of all my kids, I wish I could of known u when u needed a family, love and security I would of jumped at the chance, I’m hoping that one day soon I can win the euro millions jackpot and get help so I can foster again, maybe even adopt, I know that ALL kids need love and a family, I hope u r doing well in your life now, u sound like a well adjusted young man, even though u have been thru a lot in your life, I truly wish u all the best in your life, God bless u sweetheart, all the best Kate x 😊 xx

Grab ahold of those who God put in your sphere of influence. I know that it's not the same as having a parent or two AND I can't image not being brought up with mine, but just know that you are loved by more people than you know. Ask God to show you who they are... Be there for others who might feel the way that you do! Your Heavenly FATHER loves you mightily!God bless you...stay safe!

Promises, promises, promises. I never understood the real value behind promises. People make promises left and right. I don't like making promises, but when I do, I make sure I keep them...even when others don't. I don't get too hung up on what others promise either. It is said: You can't measure a man by its intellectual capabilities, nor by his moneys nor his physical strengths. You can only measure a man by his ability to keep his promises.

Haing Ngor, who played Truong, was a real doctor, an obstetrician, in Cambodia before he was captured by the Khmer Rouge. He escaped death by denying his professional and intellectual status, and eventually immigrated to the US where he made another successful career as an actor, starting in The Killing Fields in 1984. He was murdered in 1996, possibly a revenge killing for his opposition to the Khmer Rouge.

One of my daughter's friends had this happen. A white American couple, who already had kids of their own, adopted a Korean orphan as a baby. The girl grew up completely Americanized, and fit right in with her sisters and brothers from the adoptive couple. She attended elementary school with our daughter, and they became friends up through high school....they played on soccer teams together, girl scouts, etc. The adopted girl ended up getting a college degree as well. Later on the adoptive parents managed to find her Korean family and they flew to Korea to meet them. Disaster, the Korean family wanted nothing to do with her. They didn't speak English, she didn't speak Korean. They were living in poverty, and disowned the girl completely. The American family all flew back early, with no desire to ever return.

I think they disrespected the Vietnamese parents. Of course the best thing would have been for the Vietnamese parents to come live in the US. The American parents were being very selfish. They should have all gone to Vietnam (including the American parents) at least to visit.

I know if, I was the American father, I would to be honest want to give him a slap. He could have come to America earlier but decided to live a life without the bother of Raising his kids to build-up his local clinic.

Everyone also loses. I wouldn't want to be a judge deciding on this case that would blur the lines between legality and morality even more. Causing resentment no matter the outcome.

The writers needed to use the fathers on words against him. 1. A boy of 11 can not make decisions so important. If that is true then the same may be said about his 2nd promise to return with them. 2. The first promise was to always stay with his younger brother. Through his actions he will break the first promise. Seems as though 2 legs of this table have fallen off and the table and cards have fallen to the ground. The writers set this argument up sorry they didn't execute on it.

As an adoptee I can fully feel for both sets of parents and the children The choices here are heartbreaking The Birth father made the right decision not to take his son away Had he done so the following would have happens 1 his sons career would have been destroyed 2 his son would have hated him thereafter 3 the younger son would have been alienated from his birth parents and his brother 4 any chance of reconciliation would have been lost forever 5 the adopted family would have also been destroyed as well 6 the forced away son would never had been happy band the relationship between him and his parents would have gone from bad to worse until the whole family unit would have been irreparably damaged and destroyed There was an alternative solution but even that would have been bad The father could have opted to stay in the USA and got a job there That way he would still BEABLE to see his children However there would be another problem Two cultures Two up bringing One set of parents would say this and the other would say that Totally blindsiding the boys Tough decision

One of my trivial annoyances has been that Mark had been driving around in that Ford, with a damaged front driver's side, and a missing wheel cover/hub cap. I would always be briefly distracted from the story, thinking,"Get it fixed." In this episode, after some 100 episodes, the car damage appears to have been fixed (-note 2;13) . After all that time, they should have dedicated at least part of one episode to the fixing of the car,in my opinion.

I sort of found this hard .Felt the birth parents would feel very deep gief loosing their sons. Especially the younger one In real life I surpose they could travel and get to know their birth parents and culture. Spending time in the future.Sad parents leave to continue their life without family lost so much but not their life's. Only makes sense that the boys have a good life, a good future in education etc it's understandable the focus was on what the boys wanted. But I felt it was more attention on how the American family felt. Though they the other parents were made to give them up to protect them.
