I reckon the irony is that Michael Landon and Victor French were really Angel's and never even knew it. These stories, and the morals, the messages they sent. It's a legacy of love.

Dead people being angels is a common doctrine found in many religions, including catholics. Michael & victor were both jewish but michael also had some catholic background, so thats where its comes from. Jonathan always has the stuff except in a few rare cases. Like when mark screws up & wishes they were cops & jonathan had to be a cop the way a human would be. But that was mark’s fault, not jonathan’s. What jonathan isnt allowed to do is use the stuff all willy nilly…..like what harold is doing. He is supposed to use the stuff only for good or for protecting someone (like grabbing bullets or saving mark).

My cat went missing 3 weeks ago! I wish happy endings happened in real life like they do on shows like this. :( God isn't a genie waiting to answer prayers. Prayer should be a surrender to the Will of God, whether it's what you want or not. My kitty is gone; Not my will, but Gods. God gave him to me and I had him for just 5 years, but he was my furbaby! Just as God gives, He can take away. If I hated him for that it would be silly. God's reasons surpass my understanding. Oh, how I wish and pray real life was like this! My baby would be back with me... with a whole group of his friends lol - I don't normally watch shows like this anymore. Ironically, it actually takes away faith because it's too perfect/fake. Miracles are thrown around like God's waiting to give people anything they ask for! He isn't a genie. Well, maybe others have had that experience, I have not. God gives AND TAKES away in real life usually. Cute show though.

My kitty got murdered ten years ago, by my stalker. Not one day has gone by since then that I haven't felt pain beyond words, rage towards the murderer, despair, and the intense wish to tell the whole world who the murderer is and what he has done. I have cursed the murderer, I have prayed for justice. To this day I sob, cry my heart out, hope, pray and wish for justice. But there is no justice, the murderer is still out there, harassing and stalking me, mocking me by vandalizing my cat's grave, spreading malicious lies about me, doing everything he can to destroy my life. Nobody stops him, police protect him, I cannot do so much as speak the truth because I would get arrested instantly as the murderer is wealthy and a local celebrity. For over ten years, since the brutal murder of my cat, I have wondered why there wasn't a guardian angel to protect him - especially so since I always prayed for his safety, for his protection, for a thick wall of protection against all negativity and evil entities. And still the murderer just waltzed into the house whilst I was at work, and brutally murdered my cat. I don't understand this. My faith in God is unshaken, but I just don't understand this. They say everything happens for a reason - but nothing good has come from this, only despair, pain, suffering and me having lost my strength,, my happiness, my hope, my reason for living and my will to live. Since that tragedy I have prayed countless times to God, asking Him to take my soul to let me be with my cat again. But no - I keep surviving - only to get abused more and more by humans. I survive to get abused more, I survive abuse after abuse only to suffer more abuse. I am so weak now I can barely walk or stand up, and still I have to survive - to suffer more abuse. And yes the abuse is ongoing. Why is this happening? Why can I not even die? Have I been so forgotten that my soul doesn't even get taken, leaving me condemned to stay in this life? For how long? What when I get old - will I continue to survive because I am so forgotten that I cannot even die? Strange also that I had an experience with someone that was either an angel, spirit, or whatever - and this experience led me to change things in life for the better - only for these changes to result in my cat's murder (when I decided to move to the city that my cat and I moved to) and me getting hounded out of my second job now with false allegations, psychological terror and character assassination. I don't know whether what I came across was an angel or a devil. Nothing good has come from all this, I haven't learned anything - other than to fear and mistrust people more than I already did - and I haven't gotten stronger, on the contrary, I am weaker than ever. I cannot use my experiences to teach anyone anything as I am so forgotten that nobody knows I exist, much less listens to me. Why? Why did my innocent kitty have to suffer like this, leaving me haunted by his screams every minute of my life, haunted by the knowledge that he screamed for me but I wasn't there and couldn't protect him, that I failed him as a mother? Why did this happen, resulting only in needless suffering for my cat, and me left a shadow of my former self? I wish too that real life was like such television shows. I really do!

Bad things happen on the show too. People die on this show. Yes, we can presume that once gone there afterlife will be beautiful. Death is out there waiting for everyone. Just because we are dealt a bad hand does mean death forgets us. I watch this show and wish I could live my life not working at a desk job but traveling around the country trying to help people. It would be great to have a Jonathan with me. It's a fantasy I know but it gets me through. Yes, it would be nice if everything always turned out ok but even when things are bad usually (and it might take years) something good does come from it.

I don't think the Jonathon Smith character just goes around handing out treats. His direct interventions usually take place after consultation with the Boss--why do you think he looks up so often? And sometimes he gets things done by resort to non-magical trickery. But these interventions are generally designed to give people a push in the right direction to help themselves. That was Harold's problem, he was so concerned with being liked that he didn't see that the way to helping people often involves teaching them to trust themselves, and God, to work out their own problems without instant miracles.

Despite the fact that Ed Asner’s Harold character was interfering and shirking his assignment, I partly understand what he was up to. It partially comes down to something I was saying in a different thread, lifting a quote from Greg Ham, the saxophonist from Men At Work who died in 2012. In a song he composed back in 1984 titled “Snakes and Ladders”, he mused that “a man could make a million staring at the ceiling; a man can break his back and still be poor.“ That imbalance is partly what this fictional angel in this episode appears to be reacting against.

One of my favorite scriptures is found in Isaiah 26:3-4. It says, "God will keep them in perfect peace whose heart and mind is fixed on Him. Trust in the Lord forever, for in the Lord our God is everlasting strength." Another good scripture says, "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind." I encourage you to make these your daily affirmations. If you do so faithfully, over time, these powerful scriptures will begin to make positive changes in your life. I and my prayer team will keep you before the Lord in prayer.

I'm in the same situation. God gives us this overwhelming fear for some reason. Pray, He reveals it to you if it is His will. If not, pray you continue to trust the path He has given you. People who say God doesn't give fear are not correct. God allows fear to serve a purpose! We may never understand the reasons, but trust there are reasons under God. I am 100% certain it is God who is keeping me locked away. Maybe it's to protect me from the world right now... I'm not sure, but I know it's for the greater good and for my benefit somehow. I also pray for a helping hand and healing and deliverance. I will include you in my prayers Starr. Maybe God will spare us this "cross" and burden soon! :)

@@hotlips3923 Im sorry, but God does not give us fear. Fear is an emotion, .no where in the bible does it say that God gives fear..but there is reverential fear, when we fear God, we are not afraid, but in awe. Not all fear comes from the enemy..it is only natural for us to fear in some situations, but when we call on our Father God, He can replace that fear with His perfect peace.

Fear is never from God. Fear is poison, it poisons the heart, it destroys the body, it leads to death. Fear is an emotion that evil entities feed on. Therefore, fear is always from the enemy.

Why does everybody blame the innocent? Because it's easier than giving your life to die for all our sins like Jesus did. I think the devil laughs and wants everyone to blame God while he keeps on doing evil in people's lives like he did to Adam and Eve and all humanity.

this is a fail episode. If we ask then we have it. I hope there has never been a hilter and chairman mao. be honest, it has been stated from the very first beginning that god (the creator) created people with his own image and character. so he has rage, sometimes mean is he. god created the creatures and let loose then. a carpenter made a chair and dominated where to put it cos it is a dead object. we are not , so , things like life must have an end ; otherwise we are just chairs.
