I have shook this great mans hand and shared a beer also spent a couple of hours talking to him. His passion for the brand will never waiver. He knows this company means a lot to a lot of people, not just football hooligans but to the real casuals that took an instant like to the brand in the 80s. There is a lot of lads and lasses that are not involved or have never been involved in football hooliganism but are true casuals. The look was everything for a dresser and stone island was a clothing brand like cp company also that caught the eye of many and fitted the casual look perfectly.

People complaining about the SI and Supreme collab forget the noteworthy accomplishments which Supreme has taken in fashion in the last few years through its innovation and collaborations. I think this collaboration was a great step for Stone Island as I think it was the final step to push it away from it's 'hooligan' image and propel it back into the world of high fashion.

***** The collab won't kill that though. It just opens new doors for the brand in my opinion

Disagree. 'Streetwear' is a death sentence for most brands especially when I gets in the hiphop world. Supreme and SI brand identity couldn't be further apart that's why the collab made no sense. The hooligan image is the only reason stone island became so popular in the first place

"I think this collaboration was a great step for Stone Island as I think it was the final step to push it away from it's 'hooligan' image and propel it back into the world of high fashion." anyway it's always better to be an hooligan than a gangsta rapper who wears Supreme, in any case that isn't high fashion (and it's proud not to be it), try again.

Stone Island in the beginning was for Paninari in Italy (anticommunist people mostly) not hooligans, hooligans arrived later wearing Stone Island. Stone Island hype history = Paninari (1982-1989), Hooligans (1990-2009), retarded hipsters mainly rappers = (2010-now)

I cried when they collaborated with shitpreme, or supreme some people call it. Stone Island is an amazing brand, present to this day with a unique genre of people that wear it with great pride. So why did they work with a brand that is worn by people that call themselves 'G's' or rappers and hipster. Just was the wrong decision IMO
@samseymour6897

are you joking? Supreme is one of the most culturally significant brands in the last decade, collaborating with a number of extremely respected artists and musicians, collaboration with Stone Island was amazing for them, but not at all a surprise or a mistake when you think about it. They both share extremely similar production processes and brand values, just my opinion though ofc
