Just watched the Doco and it was fantastic. I laughed , I cried. It's pretty much the same with all footy clubs worldwide. It brings back a lot of memories and fantastic people I've met through sport. Well done Wrexham.

Not fair. Cant compare it to premier league. In premier league you can only have a maximum of 114 points. So you need to literally win all games except one and no draws. In national league there are 24 teams and you play 46 games. Winning all gives you 138. To get 111 points, you can lose around 9 games. Its a record but a record that is impossible to beat at top flight. not a fair comparison. But wp nonetheless.

@@HighMiler330d if you only counted all english leagues that have 24 teams then sure. Premier league is still not comparable. its almost impossible to get that many points in the premier league. it doesnt compare.

As a team I remember being higher up the leagues when i started watching football it's a bit sad to see Torquay drop another division. I hope they bounce back soon. Though if the remaining conference teams have any sense one of them will buy that keeper.

I listened to this match on the radio, and it sounded like their keeper was the only thing stopping this becoming a cricket score. Watching this is looks like that was the right assumption.

Torquay played damn good, it seems that Wrexham have become the United for the lower leagues, everyone plays harder and shows their best in an attempt to be able to say they beat them. It's a great mentality to have as it keeps Wrexham on it's toes and at the same time showcases that the lower leagues are not rubbish like everyone thinks they are they have just slid down with financial issues or bad management or covid messed them up or their owners had issues but they are very good clubs nonetheless.

Torquay needed a win to avoid relegation. They weren't playing to "say they beat Wrexham."

Even in these clips it's bad, can't imagine a full game of it. "Unfair penalty" for a blatant handball? The defender didn't swing at it, but he still had his arms away from his body. Pretty clear cut. Torquay's goal was also a nice play, but clearly a bit offside. I get there's not VAR, but you could at least give the offside a hattip on replay, they "got away with one" or whatever. Even on the angle in this video it's very clear he's off.
