How TF is that first try by Huddersfield allowed, ref says check for offside .... Ritson is about 6 yards in front of the kicker, Bibby is at least 12 yards behind Ritson ..... Bibby takes Welsby out of the last defense line in the scramble and they dont see it. Words fail.

Train strikes and the FA Cup final on the telly are definitely factors, but as a family event it's not always great either. I wasn't there this year but usually there's a fair number of folks who come stumbling in from the bars as the day goes on and a small chunk of them then start scrapping... it's a bad look for anyone bringing kids.

Crowd was close to normal this year, somewhere over 60,000 I think. It looks emptier because anything up to 5,000 only turn up for their own team's match, so there's a steady 15-20,000 inside, and the rest are rotating in and out. In all the years I've been going I've seen maybe two or three fights, so maybe Calico's been unlucky in where they've sat! If you have a look in the pubs around the ground at any time during the day, there are steady numbers boozing there. Maybe they don't like watching games where they don't have a direct interest? Either way, I enjoyed it very much again this time round. To turn the question round, maybe one or two at best of these matches would have had the same number of people watching if they were at home, and it's bringing in lots of people that don't get a chance to see a live match often otherwise.

Tmak won the potm vote for this match by election-in-a-dictatorship margins and he absolutely deserved it

Magic weekend is that all the teams playing at 1 stadium or? Bit like magic round in the NRL were all teams play at Suncorp stadium over 3 days

The NRL stole Magic Weekend's idea awhile ago and called it Magic Round. Magic Weekend had been around years before.
