The Seattle Sounders defeated the New England Revolution 2-0 on Saturday night at Lumen Field in their first meeting since 2019. Jordan Morris and Albert Rusnák scored on either side of halftime to take all three points.

That ref has no clue how to play advantage.
- 8 g/a in the last 5 games for Rusnak, should be in MLS TOTW for the 3rd week in a row - Morris keeps us his fine run of goalscoring form; vintage JMo goal tonight - The CB pairing were great as well, nice to not see as many sloppy passes as usual - Always a pleasure to see PDLV, even if just for a few minutes. What a player - 5 games undefeated, including 4 wins, moving us up to 6th in the West You love to see it!

@@modernfire27 you don’t have to project your own insecurities onto a soccer team ok? If your team loss and you’re bitter, you can just accept it like an adult and move on.
This is how to do it. NE was on the back foot most of the match, stretched to Seattle's will and the attacks were at pace. Friggin great lads!
Can you imagine a world where the refs had to talk through their performance, giving an open and honest breakdown of what they did well and what they wish they would have done differently? That would be amazing to see!

This is literally how the PRO system works. Consistently frustrating on a game by game basis, yes; but if you look at MLS careers you’ll see them improving over time

New England should feel lucky the ref missed 2 advantage plays for the Sounders, a red card challenge at 2:30, and a clear penalty at 4:25. A player for Uruguay was given a red card against Brazil in Copa America for an almost identical challenge compared to the tackle at 2:30. The Morris yellow card at the end was a total joke also. That is a soft foul at best and is not a yellow card. The Sounders dominated though and New England had nothing. The Sounders pace of play and finishing have suddenly improved recently. Frei is also back in good form.
Ref should be fired for incompetence!
