The PGA TOUR heads to Scotland this week for the Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club. This is the third straight year the PGA TOUR will co-sanction the event with the DP World Tour, with around 75 pros from both tours competing. Rory McIlroy returns to defend his title and looks to become the first ever back-to-back winner of the event. The Northern Irishman has claimed T15 or better in his previous six starts on the PGA TOUR, including victory at Quail Hollow two months ago. Xander Schauffele also tees it up this week. The 2022 Scottish Open champion has 11 top-10 finishes in 16 events this year, as well as claiming his first major at the PGA Championship. Collin Morikawa is also in Scotland this week. In seven events since claiming T3 at the Masters, he’s made T16 or better, including T4 at the PGA Championship. He also finished solo third here in 2022 and T6 last year. Others to look out for include Viktor Hovland, Ludvig Åberg, Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Thomas.

I’m not so sure - they’ve always been terrible. There’s never a storyline, it’s just good shot after good shot, so boring.
Wrong title, duplicate cuts twice in the video, does the pga not do any QA before posting a video? This is horrible, editor should be fired

I would appreciate golf on TV more if we knew what club they were hitting on every shot. There needs to be a system set up so announcers could state that. Watching golf should also be a learning experience

The Renaissance Club featured the fifth-longest set of par fours and par fives last year, but it also featured the second-shortest set of par threes. Under blustery conditions, it ranked as the fourth-most difficult course on Tour in 2023, playing far more challenging than the last two Open Championships.
