Probably the best I've seen Portland play this season. Smith & Linehan have the potential to be one of the most deadliest combos in soccer. Coffey was phenomenal as always

Moultrie's shot is one of the best I've seen from distance, curling away from the goalie, perfect top left !

3 assists, a PK goal, and a couple more shots on goal. Smith’s awareness, talent and pinpoint passing were on full display tonight!

Portland has most wonderfully fan supporter of all women games

the crowd was electric! so glad ION’s broadcast got the sound right. smith was key; it had to be hina to nail that shot; hubly is back; and payton is a fiery super-sub. loving this turnaround!

@@Willius542I think that simplifies things too much - personally I don't think it was a pen. Yes it touches the hand but only after it ricochets from her leg. For me, her hand is in a natural position, even if it is away from her torso. With that said, Thorns totally deserved to win that game. Seattle played well first half but just came crumbling down.

@@gtzgabriel98 "Natural position," although you hear it a lot, is not the standard by rule. The rule is, if an arm makes the body unnaturally bigger and the arm position is not a consequence of or justifiable by the body position/movement. What that means is, if it is possible for Huerta's body to be there with her arm anywhere else, then "anywhere else" is where her arm _should be_ or else she risks being penalized. Penalty was the right call.

Who’s coaching these teams? Team play is seriously hit and miss. For this level, shocked at all the unforced mistakes. Oh and the Announcer gave me a headache (nails on chalkboard).

Another unprofessional male coach in Portland lifting and embracing a female player UNNECESSARILY. This is not professional AT ALL. He needs to be reprimanded. You can celebrate without crossing boundaries.

I think Klingenberg is happy and mutually accepted that hugging lift. My guess is they know who when and this club allowable atmosphere…

"Unprofessional" is your opinion. "Crossing boundaries" is defined by league standards of conduct and Meghan Klingenberg herself, neither of which have a problem with a celebratory hug. Let them celebrate the way they want, or at least confine yourself to expressing only your own opinion.

@@PaulLe-jk4uq Undoubtedly. Meghan Klingenberg is not exactly shy about expressing her opinion, and if she'd had a problem with any of that, there would be zero doubt (and she's a Taekwondo black belt...).

If King has a problem with it, especially now while Portland is under such a microscope due to past conduct, she will let us know. For now, I’m glad we have a coach who wears his heart on his sleeve.
