This is some top tier editing! You managed to make us look entirely cohesive, fluent, dominant & unlucky. Whereas we were actually disjointed, defensively abysmal, general play in the final third was too often lacking, endless unforced errors & misplaced passes and despite having so many chances, we absolutely deserved to lose! Rode our luck too often this season & it ran out today. Wasn’t at all surprised to hear Smith bleat about xG afterwards 🙄

Going to have to disagree with you. You’re going into each match with that mindset and weird agendas against Smith and co. From watching the game, I couldn’t understand how we’d managed to lose the game.

I’m glad to see Sargent as a ST rather than on the wing. I know Pukki is a club legend but JS is in the form of his life. He needs to start up top every game!

hmm. great start, but think he was selfish-greedy today (should have passed on both occasions! in the 1st half) This is what you know to do- to pass, -when you're truly in form!

As a Peston fan, I really don't know how that last equaliser wasn't given, great game from both sides and realistically should've ended 3-3

Well done PNE. There is something not quite right with us. We seem to be sleeping or not on it for periods of games. No team controls a game for 90mins and every player can hit a bad pass, but IMO there is a problem with urgency at times which will cost us in the long run.

This was an exciting game despite the loss

So many shots... Just hurts that they were unsuccessful, because it does look like we had some amazing plays today. That whistle at the end was terrible. We had possession for a last shot. Also... At least Sheffield lost today too, so we haven't fallen behind 👍 Im excited for our next game.

We created a lot of chances but tbf we didn't deserve to win, our defence was disastrous and there were too many patches where our players seemed rushed and disconnected from eachother.

Fair played to Preston. They were very clinical scoring 3 times off 0.8xG. We've got to improve with tougher opponents coming up.

If we do happen to get promoted again their needs to be a ruthless clear out of the defence, between them they've proved themselves to not be anywhere near the level required and on this performance aren't even at championship level, we have talented attacking players consistently let down by the more defensive minded players

Funny thing there is that he blows the whistle as the Preston defender gives the huge shove..... He wouldn't/didn't give any penalties for less contact in the whole of the game... Weak refereeing once again, but can't hide behind two costly errors AGAIN by Tim and too incoherent a performance!! Time for Angus to play..

There needs to be a shake up at Norwich, too mant people passing back and not enough crosses going in, don't really like to pint a finger but Aarons is often out of position and passes back more often than forward.

It’s so sad to see this World Cup getting thrown away just because Berhalter thinks he is a wizard and won’t change his ways of thinking. Never expected to win the cup but make a fun run with this golden era and possibly a contender in 26. I would be surprised if we make it out of group with the way we played against Japan and Saudi

Yes, both players were fouling each other. He should never have given it. Unfortunately, the standard of officiating is poor.

@@Orange_Fever Are you thinking of when a ref will let an attack play out before blowing for the full-time whistle, when play has gone beyond the minimum added time? He was blowing for a foul against the defending team not for the end of the game.

Yes the officiating was poor ....Byram should obviously had had a straight red in the first half. for putting has studs into Browne's knee (as the pundits on the EFL review Sat night said) and what is the ref supposed to do when Hanley grabs hold of shirt?

Come on...what was disgraceful was the ref bottling not giving Byram a straight red ...and Hanley grabbed hold of Storeys shirt to stop him making a defensive run across the box , then the mutual wrestling broke out. At least the ref got that one right.

Krul needs to be dropped next game you can’t be getting beaten from a nothing shot at your near post cost us the game and 3 points

Watch the final replay - it was a big deflection, the last angle shows it was an attempted cross

If they were 1-0 up with 10 minutes to go then I wouldn’t mind the time wasting but it was from kick off to the end of the game

Had that been equal then we'd be second due to them having scored one more than us. I'm not sure what the FL use to split teams after that, possibly record against each other but we haven't played them yet.

This game is rigged. That last goal should have counted. Sargent is looking sharp.

That call from the ref was an absolute DISGRACE on Hanley. Look at the buildup, Hanley was being grabbed by 2 preston defenders then hanley puts a tiny hand in and gets called up. Hope something horrible happens to that ref

Taking nothing away from Preston as they fully deserved the win, this is the culmination of weeks of poor (and often lucky) performances. Smith absolutely needs to change things up to stop this slow, lethargic, uninspired and uninterested attitude. Trying to find an equaliser at home and playing backwards and sideways passes isn't acceptable and if we keep this "style" up, we'll be finishing 12th and deservedly so.
