Kaya FC-Iloilo secured their sixth consecutive Philippines Football League win with an impressive fourteen-goal performance, against Manila Montet FC courtesy of seven different scorers. Martini Rey and Dokyung Lee each netted four goals, while Sherwin Basindanan, Mark Swainston, Jovin Bedic, Marwin Angeles, and Jarvey Gayoso added to the tally.

Founded in 1996, Kaya FC is in its third decade of pushing the boundaries of Philippine club football. One of the most successful clubs in the country, Kaya are the reigning Philippines Football League champions and have captured three Copa Paulino Alcantara titles. Internationally, Kaya have qualified for the AFC Champions League twice and the AFC Cup four times.
The name comes from the Filipino word káya, which means “We can.” In Old Tagalog, the word is closely defined as 'susi ng kapatiran' (key to brotherhood). Both of these definitions provide the basis for the team's "Una Kaya" spirit and vision as a club.
