Well played Red Roses, you are awesome. It is great to see Helena Rowland and Ellie Kildunne stretching their legs however too many conversions missed. Whilst this may be an experimental team, John Mitchell cannot leave out Emma Sing is probably the most consistent dead ball kicker in the PWR.

Brilliant play from the Red Roses 🌹❤️ we do need to be careful with our discipline when we play France though as they won’t be nearly as forgiving…..

Italy could have had 3 or 4 yellows as well and that would have been fun, but poor reffing was the story of the w6n again this year

Who on Earth edits these games?? All they show is a player having a red card being shown to her but not showing the reason why!!

I think you can just catch it around the @0:38 mark, clear-out rolling onto the knee from the left side of the ruck

@@stefanwarsink4246impossible! The player sent off is number 8 and the number 8 is not involved in that ruck at all. She is in the middle of the field as that ruck breaks up.

@@johnmanning5568 easy cowboy, I wasn't sure but that's the only thing I could think of (looks like a rolling clear-out on the leg, you can hear the Italian player screaming). in case that wasn't it, it's bad editing indeed!

A bit rough start, but still dominated the field despite the Red Roses have to play with 14 women (13 for 10 mins) for most of time. Need to pay attention to on field discipline. It costed Red Roses a World Cup Champion title.

Wow I am impressed watching this. The standard of rugby is very high. I used to play rugby and I think I might be in trouble playing these ladies. They are very professional.

Great win especially with the early red. Is it just me or does the quality of the passing seem a bit below our usual standard in this game though? So many are a touch behind the momentum of the runner, forcing them to check slightly. Lots of passes hitting the near shoulder and forcing the runner to reach back a little to take it. Often the gap stayed open long enough, the line was good enough or the player still managed to power through, but against a tighter defence it could cost us.

They looked very disjointed, but I thought it improved a lot in the second half with the changes. Great handling across the park for the second Kildunne try.

An oddly off game with the boot and lineout throws - strange as dry conditions. Alot of errors in the first half. Holly Aitchison made a big impact on as sub - must start next game.

There's no work out for this. It's all these years being professionals and playing in a very competitive league that created the Red Roses we got now. They are just WAY above the others nations except for the Black Ferns. Then there's maybe the French that are in between and then the others. The gap is really huge for now in women rugby. So it won't change a thing for them if they are 14 vs 15 vs most teams.

Whilst in the end the incident that got the red card was a red card. it is once again built on really weak ref'ing if you watch the rucks prior to that every single one has an Italian player in an offside possition or driving in from the side. Had the ref been strong and yellow carded one of the many infrigments from italy it never happens. The ref need to hammer down on the infringments against England. Yes this will turn these games into cricket scores. But even with hte Ref helping anyopne playing agianst England by not calling clear penalties we are getting cricket scores anyway.

The scrum half who started for England is mediocre at best…….slow, inaccurate, inattentive, and generally a poor decision maker. The woman who replaced her is on a totally different level.

I'm sorry but the England women's rugby team along with the men's, under 20's and 18's on both genders are classless, arrogant and snobby unlike all the other teams ranging from Wales to New Zealand who love the game for what it is and for everyone to enjoy.

Interesting comment. I can only speak of the Red Roses but as the best women's team in the world, I can accept a certain amount of arrogance but "classless" and "snobby" where did that come from?
