Kelleher has the potentials to end up being one of the best Goalkeepers of his generation

Parrott's finish was pretty rubbish and lucky, but please stop saying he was selfish to not pass. He made the correct decision. Szmodics was offside during the entire move and didn't slow his run at any point to get back onside. Parrott passing to him would have just ended the move. If anything, Szmodics should really be the one getting critcised. He can't even do the most basic requirement of his role (stay onside) and then reacts petulantly when he doesn't receive the ball. Also his reaction to the goal looks lukewarm at best, as though he'd almost be happier if Parrott had missed as it'd give him something to moan about.

1/4 Irish. Don't know much about him, but having one Irish grandparent he qualifies to play for us by the rules. Lots of people complain about this rule, but I think it's spot on, it's a solid enough connection to the country.

Such a shame that the stadium was empty, And. All the young fans missed out on seeing a couple of goals and a victory the football association of Ireland need to get their pricing correct. Among other things We are not all rich.We cannot bring a few children when the prices are so bloody high for a meaningless end of season friendly On a school night.

I suspect that they wouldn't have sold many more tickets even if the tickets were cheap. The general public don't care about this team anymore. FAI should just give complimentary juvenile tickets to schools & clubs for friendlies until the "feel bad factor" around this team goes away.

If these tickets were bulk buy - along with the Portugal tickets - then its down to the FAI. I can't bring my kids from Westport to Dublin twice in a week. Sell match tickets individually and give fans the choice. Unfortunately - as we will see with them no doubt giving O'Shea the job in the next week or two - the FAI are thick.

Beautiful goal, a win over a really good country that's ACTUALLY playing at the Euros in the dying moments of the game...can the Irish just take a win for once? Congrats to Ireland for victory but don't think too much from this game where Hungary not forcing and they want to don't have injuries. Hungary making mistake's in defense and they get too easy this game so relaxing and loosed . Ireland don't have too much shoots or chance, all game staying in defense and the end Ireland got a lucky win without to be dangerous and counting in the game .Hungary has beat themselves . Make the pass the clear and obvious choice. Forcing your strike partner to have to second guess if you're onside in those half seconds is poor play.

Kelleher is worth 50m today easily.

Parrott was so lucky at the end there! If that one hadn't gone in - and it very nearly didn't - the gaffer would've nailed him to the wall. His teammate was *right there* for an easy pass and an almost guaranteed goal.

Problema para nosotros amigo es la qualfacacion. Estamos en europa y ahora (no en la pasada) habia mas facil partidos, no ahora, tambien hay mucho mas cantidad de equipos (Albania/North Macedonia etc) anos pasado Irlanda ganabrian contra este equipos (en los anos de 80's/90's) tuvemos jugadores de Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal, etc...ahora, tenenos jugadores de segundo, tercero ligas, aqui es la problema. Kelleher (mi club del Liverpool) es el solo jugador jugando CL futball, el resto no....pero estoy optimistico, Ferguson, Canon, Kelleher, este generacion podriamos qualificar en 2030 a la mundial, nos vemos en Mexico hombre. Saludos desde Dublin.

An unmarked Szmodics for a simple tap in and Parrott ignores him and makes a complete and utter dog dinner of the shot. Goalkeeper mistake. Parrott should have had a proper bollicking from the manager.

If both players have gone past the opposition defence they can pass to eachother. Offside is when a player behind the defence passes to a player ahead of the defence.

The Irish got "LUCKY" with that one goal and subsequent win. Parrott's finish was sloppy...absolute rubbish. And some people said Szmodics was offside and passing to him would have disqualified the goal...but I don't think so. The replays shows that Szmodics seemed even more onside that Parrott.

For all their talent, I can't see it. England need a maestro in the middle of the field who can control games (someone like Pirlo, Modric, Xavi or Zidane etc) yet they never seem to produce such a player. Until they get someone like that , they aren't winning anything.
