I go for 2 international teams, Australia and whoever plays the kiwis. Go England (for the series). Good to see Wigan boys (well Batemen not for much longer) combine for the match winner.

Water under bridge now but can't understand why they don't have full neutral refs, including TMO, for these test matches.

I am an Aussie! And I can say I have never seen more biased refereeing than that! It felt like every tackle NZ would make they would be penalised! Plz NRL don't take another game over there

The game isn't weak globally, competitiveness yes because of the history of the game but globally? Canada and Spain have pro league teams mate. Kiwis up

@@selinajoseph3946 ,that maybe the case in club rugby but not so in test matches where the same rules apply to all.As for league being global,come on!!Those countries you mentioned and most of the rest that play league take rugby more serious.The US play league too but rugby along with lacrosse are the two fastest growing games in the US,in fact north America which includes Canada and there was a rugby game played in Spain in 2016 between Racing 92 and Toulon I think in front of a crowd of 98,000.The only countries where league is bigger is Australia and PNG although rugby's starting to get a foothold in PNG now so that mightn't be for long either.Only 3 countries realistically can win the world cup in league and are competitive.Yes Tonga and Fiji beat NZ but I suspect that was only a one off and I doubt they will do it again for a while and I can't see any other team outside the big 3 ever winning the league world cup.Just like how Samoa beat Australia and Tonga beat France in the rugby,they were only one offs and they haven't beaten them since.At least in rugby Scotland,Ireland,Wales,England,France,South Africa,Australia,New Zealand and Argentina can all beat each other on any given day and can all potentially win the world cup on their day then you have the up and coming teams like Japan who beat SA and drew with France,the US who beat Scotland this year,Italy who also beat SA ,Georgia who just lost to Wales by a dropkick in the last minute and then teams like Tonga,Fiji,Samoa etc who are competitive.Also over 130 countries play rugby too.In countries like Georgia and Madagascar they regularly get crowds of 50,000+and rugby is now the number 1 sport in those countries.Rugby is growing rapidly whereas league isn't and being globally strong and being competitive go hand in hand not one all the other.Although I'm a rugby fan I follow all our sports teams and think the kiwis can come back and win lol.

This refereeing reminds me of the All Blacks vs France WC 2007. But the Kiwis need more grit so they can grind out wins.

Penalty Try? If that were for the kiwis, that would not have been awarded! Sounds like the video referee already had his mind up before making the call! Not only does he award the "try", he goes one better....A "TRY" with a Capital "P" for "PENALTY"!!!! Golly, Just a good, hard, but exciting game of Rugby League with the better team winning fair & square without some kind of a "Tarnish" on the result, is all anybody asks for!! International Tests = International Referee(Eg. NZ v ENGLAND - Australian Referee Team - On Field Referee, Touch Judges, Video Box) & so on and so forth! The point being, that there has to be absolutely zero doubt about the outcome of games!

I barrack for neither NZ nor ENG, and ENG may very have won this game regardless, but an Englishman controlling both the On-Field & Video Decisions? C'mon, surely that's going to draw some criticism, if not magnify it!! The issue is not with who won the match, but rather avoiding if not eliminating any future question marks regarding future outcomes going forward.......

Definitely a game England should have lost. Referee helped. No way is that a penalty try, if that's a penalty try in that game then from now on any situation exactly the same has to be called exactly the same. NZ made England look ridiculous when they scored. England's tries were more luck then anything else. Good to see Sam Tomkins playing, he's awesome but yeah NZ definitely were the better team in this game.

This game has gone to shit as well. So many soft penalties in a high contact sport. All Blacks v Wallabies the same. These refs are making Union and League extremely hard to watch.

I am not a Kiwi fan. But surely the referee was on England side. This was a disgrace to watch. I went from rugby union to rugby league because I hated how the referees always soft on the All Blacks. Now rugby league referees are doing the same. Maybe it is time to go to NFL. This is bad refereeing for the goodness of Rugby League.

Only 12,000 turned up a couple of weeks earlier for the Kiwis v Kangaroos game in Auckland. Tonga v Kangaroos the following week at the same ground was a sellout. 26,000 I think.

@Chris Williams @Chris Williams what are you talking about? union international games are far more competitive. league internationals are just full of nrl/superleague players who basically live in nz/oz/england playing in different nations. tonga for example are basically all players who live in nz or oz not one of them live in tonga where as the tongan union team most of them live in tonga. Other international teams are only added just to make the numbers and make it seem like the game is growing worldwide lol. In union this year alone argentina defeated both south africa and australia, usa defeated scotland this year, ireland are ranked 2nd in the world who also couple of years ago defeated the all blacks.
