More MLS teams should be built like Nashville. Well-organized, strong defensively, and have one or two key difference makers in attack.

This is amazing sportsmanship. I salute you! Nashville isn't going to be easy for Miami, they play the perfect style against a 4-3-3 Possession based System, however, they need to concentrate and don't be intimidated and expect at least 2 goals from Miami. So Counters, Corners, and Free Kicks are your best options, and only press when they are in your half! I'm obviously wanting Messi to win his first title, but Nashville got to make it hard and interesting!
By the looks of this game i can tell we are going to have a great game on Saturday!

Agreed, including that I think the ref not calling for Monterrey to receive a penalty kick was a make-up call for calling back Mukhtar’s earlier goal. Yes, Nashville’s guy was offsides, but it didn’t affect the play and he didn’t obstruct the goalkeeper-he was too far from the ball (as the announcer correctly points out). Oh well. Whether it ended 2-0 or 3-1, Nashville won the night!

Congrats to Nashville! To be honest, I get hyped when Messi plays and today this morning I was thinking about Messi long distance goal he had against Troyes at PSG, the long distance goal he had against Mexico in the World Cup, and the long distance goal he had in Barcelona when played against PSG in the champions league. I said to myself Messi is going to have one of those long distance goals tonight. Messi has to do that again. He did! When they beat Dallas and we’re behind and they eventually came back and won it. Messi assist an own goal. I was like Oh no! That’s a good feeling for Miami. That’s destiny! I believe this is tournament also written in the stars! Nashville fans were chanting we want Messi! Disappointed to see how Liga MX has fallen (or more like failed to improve). I’m glad MLS has shown so much improvement - I think this’ll be better for the region’s football overall.
@LilRedRasta

This was inevitable. The leagues are at least on par now imo. I still think Liga MX’s best teams are slightly better but it’s negligible. In about 10 years MLS will likely be twice as good as Liga MX because there’s just more money/investment and players would want to live in the states over Mexico.
Why final in Nashville field? Why not in a neutral venue?

If Nashville play Miami the way they played these knockout games, they have a decent chance of winning. But if they go in with no confidence and try to modify their basic structure the way Philly and Charlotte did, they'll end up with a similar result.

Big clubs in Europe had to modify their tactical when played against Messi's team. You have no choice and can not give Messi a lot of space. Nashville can not use the same tactic when they meet Inter Miami. At least two players need to be near with Messi. Hopefully they can find the way to stop Messi brilliance.
@markconstance186

@@yuzurukidoguchi Even if they do that, they would end up leaving Robert Taylor or Josef Martinez wide open and that’s even worse. 2 players isn’t enough to stop Messi and you know that. At least 3 has to be on him all the time, but that means Robert Taylor would score instead. I honestly don’t see how Nashville can get out of this.

Not entirely bro, Bc muyle made an attempt at header while He himself was offside, so once he attempted that header it could be seen as a center and not a shot on goal depending on the ref and how strict they are, had he not jumped it would have passed no problem
