@@opita_opica I'd say 5 minutes just showing the dangerous chances per period if there wasn't any goals. The NHL ones just stall and show random low quality shots for 10 minutes if the game didn't have a lot of action, which gets unbelievably boring.

​​​​@@anon8633Yeah, we won just 3 medails in last 14 years so far, gold in 2010. Really hope it will 4 medails by the end of the tournament. On the other hand, we have gold hatrick, so its not like we never played top hockey. But i see hope considering the young ones as you mentioned. In 2022, it was silver after lose against Canada, but last year we went through quaterfinals where we got revenge on them and won bronze against Finland In the end, two years in a row.

Disappointed that we lost with the overtime goal but were realistically defensively poor for basically every goal. It would have been nice to win the group and play Slovakia 🇸🇰 but we didn't earn it. Fair play Canada 🇨🇦 👏

Tbf we could still play the USA. It depends on the outcome of the Switzerland vs Finland game. I didn't want to play Slovakia because I thought it would be an easy game. On the contrary, their squad looks really good. I just thought it would be a really good hockey game against our brothers.

Well played game on both sides. Both teams had many chances to score, the game was exciting until the last second. Congratulations to Canadians from Czechia 🤝🎉

The goal in overtime was tragic. Very poor mistake by the Czech players, that was punished by the Canadians. Otherwise this was one of the best matches I’ve seen this tournament.

Cozens is making a pretty good case for inclusion. Some may disagree but, to me, 'Binner' has looked pretty good the past 3 games. Had one bad moment last game, on the 2nd Swiss goal, when he lost track of the puck and kinda froze in the spotlight... But otherwise good ... He is a least showing he's CAPABLE (3rd period vs Austria notwithstanding) of playing like an Olympian... Powers has been too erratic, too aggressive , at times, with his offensive zone forays, getting outa position, making an ill advised pinch at our own blueline, last game, actually impeding his D partner, leading to a 3 on 1, deep in Canada's zone ... Maybe it could work with a more savvy, stay at home guy, alongside him? I dunno... JT, good as he's looked, as great as he is at faceoffs, is kinda long in the tooth

@@solidsnake123100 Plenty to worry about, even with the late additions, for Czechia. Don't get me wrong, this is a talented Czech team fully capable of claiming gold... BUT BUT BUT... Johnny Hockey, Brady T, 'Score' Caufield, Zegras, and the other blue chippers are NOT chop liver... This is not the usual, Team USA, also ran/pretenders... This is a talented Yankee squad, in their own right, who won't be the least bit intimidated, fully capable of lighting the lamp, many times over vs Czechia. The way I see it, Swiss dodged a bullet in getting past Suomi and facing Germany in QFs. Otherwise, my money would have been on Yanks, and it wouldn't have been an upset, save only for Euro bookmakers. Yanks were due for another goal explosion, and Swiss, with high and maybe unrealistic expectations, would have never knew what hit them (Though you'd think they'd be used to losing in QFs by now?)... That said, Czechs, again with their late additions haven't peaked yet. I make them slight favorites vs Yanks, BUT ONLY SLIGHT... Make no mistake, USA vs Czechia is the MARQUIS MATCH-UP of the quarterfinals... But maybe, just maybe, Suomi can put a scare into Tre Kronors? Give me good odds and I'll wager some dough on that... @@solidsnake123100 Position in the group stage sets up the matches in the playoff rounds. Canada being first in the division means playing a weaker opponent in the first round.

Canada is always Canada, you can never write them off no matter how they look in group stages. We saw this most in 2021 Riga when they started 0-3 and then went on to win gold.

I think it is a great showing and demonstrates Canadas domination in hockey is over. ONly 25% of the leagues (NHL) players will be canadian by 2030. at present its about 30% I think Canada has been Trudeaued

@@gentlemanjim480 Actually the Czechs are favored. The Czech team has 10 Olympic prospects on their team including Superstars. The Usa team has 2 Olympic prospects and none of their Superstars are here. Czechs are more stacked on paper than the USA.

Yeah they missed a trip on Canada... which woulda given Czechs a 5 on 3... But Dubois also got highsticked and cut, which shoulda been 4 minutes, not 2... Canada scored after 7 seconds, didn't they? They woulda stayed on the pp... We can't know how it would have played out, in such a close game... Still, it seemed, to me, like the better team won... Better team on the night... Czechs, with their late NHL additions, haven't peaked yet... Still, they've got a tough opponent in Yanks in quarter finals... Much rather face Slovakia or Germany... PEACE OUT

Man pastrnak has had an awfully unlucky year. First the embarrassing skills competition, then Barley beating the leafs just to get hammered in the second round. Then having an insane perforce in this game only to lose in OT.

Great game. But Cz's 2nd goal was bogus: Even tho it was only an incidental hand deflection, it was still above the crossbar. Freeze @2:14, the goal scorer's hands and stick are at armpit height with raised shoulders even after he has leapt up at least 6" off the ice. Simple math. Should be dead play, face-off outside the blue line. OTOH, Cz' s 3rd goal was thrilling!

That overtime goal was such a bad luck for Czechia... losing a puck when trying to shoot and then kicking the puck back to the Canadian player. That was such a shame but they definitely seemed to fight till the end. Looks like a great hockey was played

Hmmm... Nowadays, guys with those composite sticks are able to zip it, shortside, off the goalie's ear. They're looking to do this, and keep doing it, so it's not luck... Just like those friggen lacrosse goals ... Goalie has near post covered. WTF is he supposed to do different? Sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the shooter, or the 'Michigan -Magician'...

He did in terms of faceoffs and solid two-way play. He just can't do it all on his own at his age--he needs others to play hard, too, and be better than he is. He just has better players to play with in this tournament. Leafs fans seem to think he can still drive the bus, and should be scoring 2 goals per game or some nonsense, when the young guns on that team don't, or won't, even do that.
