We saw our Champions League dream end for another season as Bayern Munich claimed a 1-0 home win to progress to the semi-finals.
A promising first half from our perspective failed to produce a goal, and after the break Bayern struck the goalframe twice before taking the lead on the night and on aggregate when Joshua Kimmich headed home what proved to be the decisive goal.
We couldn’t respond to that setback and ultimately saw our first taste of Champions League action in seven years come to a halt at the hands of the six-time winners.

Bayern was so much better over the 2 legs, thats a miracle Arsenal didnt get 3 or 4 in the Allianz Arena. Bayerns at its worst in a decade is still much better than Arsenal atr its best in a decade! 2 years ago we would’ve been thrilled just to play in ucl quarter finals, tie bayern at home and not get ripped apart by them. We need have patience and faith for arteta and his project, and the improvement so far has been incredible

@@ady007pl It's not the weakest Bayern since many years actually, it's like a 'standard' Bayern. However they were missing few key players like Coman, Gantry or Davis so Arsenal should get more out of the second leg than 2 or 3 shots on the goal.

That hold up and pass from ødegaard to martinelli was perfect , how did he not score! Every defender and even the GK was on their backfoot after that ,and then Martinelli shoot straight at neuer.. and the pass was with his right foot! People say ødegaard has a weak right foot , but even alot of right footed good players cant do that pass as hard and perfectly placed as that.

If I were you I would beg for anyone BUT Madrid. If you think that Real was playing like they were because they couldn't keep up and got destroyed think again about how Real played for like last 8 seasons. Real has always played mostly from counterattacks, with players as fast as Vini and Rodrygo (Ronaldo, Di Maria, Bale + Marcelo when he wants to) it's not surprising if you had watched football instead of reading notifications on your phone and stats after the game so you "know" on who to bet. Turn on the TV somehow, or plrate stream idc, just watch this El Classico and tell me in the eyes that you want to get Real. It is not the striker's fault, if they are not properly served by the midfielders and wingers. And it seems that the never changing playing patterns e. g. of Saka - Ödegaard (- White) are too well known now by our opponents.There are no surprises any more in our playing.

Wings adhere to defensive play. For this reason, we need a striker number 9 who will be a top scorer. We reach the end of the season and start not scoring. If Arteta wants to compete for everything, a top scorer striker, Gabriel Jesus, should be brought in. He does not benefit him with anything, as sometimes it is not his day. @@FTStratLP

All my gunners its part of the process. This was we last season in the league and now where back even stronger. We reach further than what haters perdicted, this coach and team knows to adapt and next season we will be ready for champions league. If our boys had a bit more courage and belief, they'd be unstoppable. They are still young. But they are getting better with these experiences. If we hadn't gave the 1st leg away so easily, we'd have been in semi right now.

Arteta needs to take Cups more seriously. We have been disappointing in them. But as Man City seem set to walk another league, over 38 games it takes near perfection to win PL once Pep remains. 5 seasons in and I think we are cemented as a top 3 club in EPL. Likely top 8 in Europe. But we know what we up against trying to win EPL or UCL. If Arteta doesn't want to be seen as a Poch or Brendan Rodgers he needs to add silverware regularly and that means more focus on FA Cup and Carabao Cup

Arsenal out, City out, Liverpool out, Hammers out, only Villa survived. I think it is time to rethink how strong the PL currently really is. And let's be honest guys, Arsenal already did not play Porto very well. If it was not for Raya's two incredible saves in the penalty shoot out, we could have not even survived the last 16 and that would not have been very unfair. And finally British teams have to face it and to accept that some football rules are interpreted differently outside of the UK and adapt to it.

A few thoughts: - Losing to Bayern (and not even showing up really) is fine, losing to Villa with that display and then Bayern and crumble when push comes to shove is not fine. And it's becoming our DNA. - Saka is not great, not off form, he's not great. - Rice is normal, and tired... very tired... - Arteta is stubborn, had he played hungry players not complacent players he would've gotten a game. He should've played Martinelli, Jesus, Vieira and Rice, Partey, Ode. (Impact subs: Saka, Trossard, Havertz, ESR). - Next season is make or break. This summer we buy everyone and everything (that if people are still convinced by our project - I'd think twice about joining Arsenal, a team on the up that just doesn't quite have it), next season a trophy needs to come, doesn't matter which one but Carabao, FA, UCL, PL. If nothing happens, thanks Arteta, you've resuscitated us but you're not it. - Arteta can do a million things he just doesn't. Why isn't Nketiah starting as CF at home, ever? Did everyone forget how he came in to deputise last year? Why aren't ESR, Vieira starting. Vieira and Nelli have to play together. Why isn't Zinchenko playing in midfield? - I'm tired of hearing young squad, City 115 charges blabla. Leverkusen did it. We only had to beat Villa. Nothing to do with City. We failed. We did. Not City being a juggernaut. Our shortcomings....

This season is going the same way as last season under Arteta, and I honestly believe we will go through the same senario next season!!! We have Players who bust their gut for the club, we have players who are nothing but loose canons, and we have players who have no clue what they are suppose to be doing!!! Who is to blame? The first loose canon for me is; Jesus, "he is like a faucet tap runs hot and cold" no wonder Guardiola got rid of him!!! Martinelli, every club in the premier league has got him sussed, he only knows one way to play, and when he gets the opportunity to shoot at goal, "what does he do? Every time Arsenal is behind, they forget what to do. This has to change, it can't be like this where Arsenal loses their spirit, just cuz the opposing team scores. It might work out against mid table and lower teams, but not at the top in in other high-level competition.
