Chusovitina is incredible. Still performing at the highest level at 40 years of age. I have so much respect for her. She's married with a 12 year old son and still at this level of gymnastics, I think she deserves a special reward for the kind of dedication she has shown. Incredible.

She is a role model who the younger girls can look up to! With all the emphasis put on being young, she proves that gymnastics can be performed well at a mature age AND you don't have to sacrifice your family for it! Well, done! Keep up the good work!

Yeah I was very impressed

these floor routines may not have the difficulty that others have, but their dancing and choreography is way better. the German girl's dancing was absolutely gorgeous.

The code for vault needs to be changed ASAP. As long as you have a high difficulty, if you sit it down you can still win.

I have the same impression. As long as you have a really high difficult vault you may just skip the horse in the execution and go straight to the position :-( Sometimes you get to see some real bad executions being highly rewarded because of the difficulty.

A Coll not all gymnasts can do that vault.. it's a very hard vault, but I also agree, if you can't stick the landing why even perform it? It's kind of like cheating your way to the top for gold in my opinion..

Russian can not because many of them used doping so they can't participate in many sports. Every sport decide if they will allow them to participate. But I don't know if that other countries didn't participate because of bad conditions in Rio or for some other reason.

it depends on things like how balanced they were, did they wobble when they landed, did they manage to stay in control of the routine, were they aesthetically pleasing (toes pointed, straight back) etc

Is it just me or do all the vaults look the same? I'd go bonkers if I had to watch 36+ women do basically the same vault for a score! How do you differentiate after all the repeat vaults! So sad that it has come to this!

I do not like this woman commentator, her voice is raucous and hard to hear and even so she talked fast and unclear everything. She keeps saying "what a shame!" when a gymnast made a mistake! it is a harsh insult for just being a commentator !

Flavia Saraiva has just shown that being so tiny doesn't mean you can't be elegant. Such presence and full of character. A delight to watch.

Yes! I love watching bars; it's so astoundingly strong and elegant, but this`????? It actually gave me a headache trying to watch it, and I had to take breaks between each routine, just so I wouldn't get sick! So amateurish!

Loved Sanne's routine.

Daniele Hypolito's floor routine gave me goosebumps... To do a floor routine to "Erlkönig" (even a modernized remix)... I don't even care that she had a few faults, it was perfection. But then, that is a poem and music that always gives me goosebumps and makes me teary-eyed, so that might have helped. But Hypolito performed so WELL to it! Her routine was dangerous and explosive and difficult and breathtaking!

I love and am proud of my country's team, that being said I really admire the artistry and creativity that other countries put into their gymnastics. Best of luck in Rio!
