Pommern fdg musashi is also disgusting. Saw a lot of georgia just now. They either melt from musashi or german secondaries or got deleted when driveby a german.

@@sambalzone94 well coz some CCs make Germans look like such a pushover that it favours us German players😂😂 Poor Georgias think that German is big of a threat as a Mino, as one player said to me. He called be a push over for taking FDG and I melted him and blapped him. Then he says FDG is OP🤣🤣

Jeanbart is also strong, she melts dds with reload booster, I think she can brake torp tubes of pommern with 100% garantee with reload booster. and she is good in running backwards with speedboost. she sucks in battles with alaska though. You could always boosted kill the dd then cripple cruiser and ram bb.

@@Korovkin_Pavel good point but Pommern can also break the Jean Bart's turrets. And torps will not break till Pommern is in a long time engagement, broad side on. In Pommern, secondary guns and hydro for DDs, main battery guns for cruisers and all three torps, guns and secondary guns on BBs. A good Pommern player can even take on all three at once, even if there is an Alaska, Musashi, or French DDs.

I would actually choose Kronhstadt over Riga. No, I'm not mad. Personally I find the Kron feels tougher, although on paper it shouldn't be. And You feel like you have some real hit power behind the guns. They can hit like a Train, even at 15km plus range. When they decide to behave that is! Where as with Riga and even Petro to some extent, the guns just feel, well, slightly lacking compared to Kron. Unless you're point blank, then of course the're excellent. But then again if you get caught point blank broadside by Kron it's also adios amigo. AA is not great. But Kron does have best in class torpedo protection. Which has saved me so many times I've lost count. 30 sec Radar compared to 18sec doesn't hurt either. Not to mention a much better HE fire chance. I have both. And both are good ships. But for me, and I think it ultimately comes down to the guns, Kron just edges it.

Aight, ALASKA I CHOOSE YOU. I actually completed the ranked season already by almost only playing the Agir. I feel like that ship is either underrated or missplayed because it's so much fun to play and troll people with rudder mod 2 and engine acceleration. I hope some sort of buffs will come soon

I always appreciate your ranked preview videos. Jean Bart was amazing for me this season. Ranked out in 18 games, not sure I even lost a star. You are great at shooting the enemy dds, seldom have to show broadside, and have the speed to flank and create crossfire. Plus all guns in the front means you are decent in a brawl as well.

If I ever sink you I'm gonna type, "It's curtains, for you!".

Short summary about the Georgia from personal experience during this ranked sprint: She's obviously good at dishing out (457mm, secondaries) and has good speed & heal, but she's also very fragile. Even when angled perfectly (almost fully bow-in), she tends to eat 10k AP salvoes even from ships like Jean Bart, which really adds up with JB's reload boost and/or when there are multiple ships focusing you. The georgia is undoubtedly a strong pick, but she's no allrounder and very fragile. 74k HP isn't very much. Oh and the main gun dispersion can be very trolly and cost you dearly.

Well, nobody speaks Finnish here in the US, but for those of us still in lockdown, a conversation about drapes, especially in a new home, is more comforting than it might have been before. Congratulations to you on your new home. After seeing Aetam's streams and Aerroon's YT videos from this weekend, it certainly looks like Pommern is the big winner here?

I'm having hard time deciding between getting Jutland or Mogador. I have both researched but running short on credits, I'll have to grind a bit to buy one. Did the last sprint with Le Fantasque and the ranked that just ended with Lightning. I do have Alsace and Georgia, but I don't have a high skill captain for Georgia and I don't want to play just BB's anyways. Anyone have experience about the meta yet, which DD would be a better pick?

Very good foresight as allways! I finished my sprint in a DM. Donskoy with ~25 -30 games. (my other alternative would have been Neptune, no thanks) To my surprise the "Donkey" performed considerably better than Flamu gives it credit for here. If played right, the Radar + Hydro combo proved very valuable to equalize the ships other shortcomings. So I'll share some tips for those of you that are stuck with this kind of "Weaker" ships like the Donskoy/Neptune/Roon etc. TLDR: Being the "weak link" in your team, attempt to Isolate yourself ONE enemy that you can deal with. Either overpower him (DD´s/Neptune/etc) or Distract (kiting) a much stronger opponent (BB/Alaska/else?). Both scenarios will tip the power balance in favor of your team if you do it right :) GENERAL TIPS: - Understand that you are the Support, so your best strategic move is to Flank the enemy (map examples below) and let your tankier teammates push for caps (especially if paired with 2 BBs) - It is imperative that YOU choose the engagements and therefor YOUR map positioning/sailing route is Key. - Do NOT force the issue! Early into the game, If you're flanking the caps and suddenly you have a much stronger opponent mirrowing you (e.g. Any BB or Alaska), wait for the first volley then turn out to "safety". Your flanking Job just turned into a distraction job. This is equally valuable since, If he gives chase he is exposing his broadside to your hard hitting mates and/or your mates now have a power advantage against the remaining 2 ships. - Read the room, IDEALLY you want to be the last ship spotted by enemy. Therefore, by the time they realize what you are doing all their guns are turned towards your tanky BB'S and you can cause a lot of disarray or catch juicy Cruiser broadsides / delete DD´s. I'll add some positioning tips for each map below :)

**MAPS** (as seen on the event News) Here are the positions I played on each map and an estimated win rate. These allowed me to delete DD´s very often or be a great nuisance to the bigger enemy ships :) HOTSPOT - Great map - 90+% South spawn -> 8 line hugging the big island. I usually parked at the G8 corner and popped radar if some enemy position was still unknown. This also allowed for slower BBs to start pushing into the caps. North spawn -> IMO the weaker spawn on this map. I chose G4 as my entry when I had that spawn. MOUNTAIN RANGE - Great map - 100% if memory serves... Both spawns -> My 4 line pushes on this map where really consistent. this side has great space to disengage early if need be and even when I faced a BB pushing the same line with me I just charged towards the island on F5 for cover . This particular BB had no other option than to turn in and angle against my team mates, in turn letting me off the hook and consequently having to worry about my torps as well! SHATTER - My least favorite - 20% tops (This map came up so often...) Regardless of spawn 99% of the fights will revolve around E5/F5 This was the only Map where I felt like I also had to engage in close quarter knife fights in order to have a significant enough impact for my team. Flanking from further out was often not effective enough due to the abundance of cover and high mountains. WARRIORS PATH - Good but triky - ~50% win rate The ONE time I choose to go on the 2/3 line I regretted it instantly. South spawn -> Instead my route of choice was to push up through either G5 or low G6 depending on whether I had to worry about being outspotted by a DD when crossing between the islands. The goal here is to get to or past the F6 island since it has flat slopes to shoot over from cover :) In some rare occasions I even could afford to push waaaaaay into the northern part of the map. North spawn -> Never had this spawn for some reason but in hindsight I would have done something similar as with the South spawn. Due to the D/E6 Island being quite long and very high, your engagement would be delayed for longer than from the south. NORTHERN WATERS - Great map - also 100% win Playing the 8 Line one this map proved extremely effective regardless of where the enemy pushed from. I found that most of my enemies chose to play 5 & 6 line, basically handing the B cap for free. Things got interesting when I had to face off against someone with a similar Idea. Your choices in this situation where quite simple, if he is stronger than you (BB/Alaska/etc) Kite away and wait for team to obliterate A side. And if he is Weaker (DD/Neptune/etc) assert your dominance :D. The islands on that side are great for 1v1s all the while you are relatively protected from additional fire. WELL..... I really underestimated how long this stuff was going to be. Anyways, there is a lot more ofc but that would be getting too much into detail xD Let me know if any of this helped!

Pommern is definetly an awesome pick on these small maps, I got ranked 1 in 16 games with it, 88 percent win rate. You counter DDs CAs and BBs hard in medium to close range, and closing the gap is super easy!

The ships I have in asia server that flamu best picks are, kitakaze (still working on commander training 😞), mogador (commander lvl 11), alaska (commander lvl 18 )and georgia (max lvl commander 2ndary build).

I don’t even play this game I just love flamu’s content.

Roon... Yolo massive capabilites :) good guns hydro, spotter plane. Torps can delete battleship or at least reduce it ammount so much that your team can delete it :P Did the sprint in few hours storming it :P

The small scale battles are the most fun i ever had in wows. They should keep it like that

How lucky that the next ranked season after pommern release, feels like it's released SPECIFICALLY for it.

Alaska is my way to go, maybe Kitakaze too, although I don't perform well with it at randoms... Oh and JB i love this ship :)

Reached rank 1 on the first day with Pommern and Jean Barf (mostly pommern)

I like to think of the Riga as a mini-Kronstadt and the Kronstadt as a mini-Sovetsky Soyuz. Then the Moskva is the mini-Stalingrad and the Stalingrad is the mini-Slava

It is 3 vs 3 so it is squad vs squad, Even if you get people on your team that refuse to teamplay maps are so small so US DD smoke will hide them even if they want it or not. Me in Fletcher smoking my team and then spot for them have worked good so far.

I did this ranked with donsky up to rank 6, Georgia and Jean Bart to rank 1.

Pommern works. Get Lutjens and set up a secondary memboi build. You have all the tools 1. Secondaries 2. Hydro 3. Torps 4. Guns - At 10 km range who cares if it's wonky. You pull clutch plays with the Pommern.

Ill be running jean bart and fletcher I guess

Now I just have to get lucky and get the pommern in a crate

I have Alaska and Friderich guess that's cool.

Been having great success with the Jean Bart, although at Rank 2 with 1 game to go the game turned against me and gave nothing but potato teammates. Rank 3 again now :(

Is the team comp going to be symmetric? Alaska honestly doesn't do well against BBs with >406mm guns, so if your Alaska is matched against say Missouri you're going to have a hard time. But I guess if a team has no cruiser and no radar it's going to be impossible to deal with DDs and smoked up ships.

I've played several ranked games on the SEA server. The meta has basically deteriorated to outright brawling. DDs are of limited value. Everyone is now playing brawler ships with Pommern on top, Georgia, Freddie, and surprisingly, the French BBs close behind. For cruisers, Siegfried and Agir seem to be top Asian choices. Alaska is meh, but better than most others. Riga also doing very well.

Z-46 and its line has been made so obsolete by power creep and radar proliferation.

Ranked out in one night with Agir. Lots of Neptunes, never understood why people give this ship a hard time - excellent DPS, smoke, high smoke spotting so just dont get that close, good torps. You need to work with your team mates but that's all.

I'll play Musashi, Alaska and Georgia :3 All the filthy premiums

I genuinely believe that Z 46 is a great pick. It doesn't lack gun power. It's actually a pretty good gun boat. It can't fight Kitakaze or Mogador but it can fight others. Plus it has hydro, fast reloading torps and is one of the healthiest DDs at tier 9. So why isn't it a good pick? Flamu, strategy is also important. The dd can provide spotting, the bb will push and tank and the cruiser from behind will angle up and DPM them to death. What better ship to do this other than the roon, you kinda ignored Agir which I understand but it felt so heartbreaking 😢.

I reached rank 1 with Pommern. And I'm an average player. If I didn't managed to carry, I saved my star. In my opinion, if you like BBs, Pommern is the way to go.

Jutland vs Friesland. I sunk Jutland hydro plus fire power Friesland it depends on your play Style.
