Kirk or Spock, that is the question? I went with Kirk in the end. I figured anything to help speed up the rep grind would be more helpful for me. Also went with the Impulse speed. Warping, I usually send my ships out then log of the game and make a cup of tea for 10 minutes when farming, I can also insta warp with the disco so impulse speed has more use imho.

I completed the mission but didn't get my kirk recruitment tokens

I picked impulse speed. I have Kirk assigned in the slot and, at least in ship details, my impulse speed has not increased.

How do you take the time to maintain two accounts at such high levels? I guess the 35 is FTP, but still, I had to stop after 2 years and just having one account when it actually reached 36, because there was simply too much to do that would fit in a single day (Borg, Sworms, Armadas, Eclipse, Hustle Grind in Tigercore, Mining, Refineries, Reputations, Events, Battlepass, hassle with other players not letting you do your stuff, etc. etc.) I just feel this game is not Star Trek and it takes place in the wrung universe. While the main shows slowly catch up with the game (VOY and ETP still to go), this will never ever steal my time and money again. It's a well-made trap for people who have a weakness for gambling and their favorite franchise (trekkies mainly) or those who get impatient and want to jump ahead by buying stuff. I was always aware of how much I would spend, but it was mainly the never-ending growth of currencies, crew, required special ships, etc. that gave me the shoe eventually.

Ive long given up doing all the events/daily grinds. I can safely ignore Borg Probes, Swarms, Mantis Hostiles, heck even mining if I go around killing OPC miners. I agree it is a grind, I just don't let it rule my life.

@@beng7845 Yeah, but if you stand still, the others will overtake you and dominate you even more than if you just have to deal with the payers. Borg Refinery is very important for the credits and officers and faction ships, but maxing the Vidar is getting boring at some point, so I stopped at Tier 7, I believe. There was no Mantis even when I was still in the game, the Meridian and Sarko just came in brand new and the Franklin-A was also still very new. Now I see there's a Cerritos, a Defiant, a Feesha, a Mantis, an Amalgam, and more and more other special ships to take care of. It was already enough with the D'Vor, the Discovery (haven't maxed her by a mile either), the Franklin, the Vi'Dar, the Stella (and you need two Stellas for efficient grinding), maxing two Horizons and at least one epic G3 ship (I didn't even get one before I left, I was stuck with a maxed Saladin and a T6 Bortas, barely beginning the faction miners). The territory research helped lowering the cost of the uncommon G3 mats, but it was still atrocious. I heard there's a new tutorial concept that gives you a free Moreau and a lot of Pike shards. It's a start, but still ... not gunna do this again, sorry. ^^
