HIGHLANDER the SERIES, CELEBRITY CAMEOS (TOP 10)

1986’s Highlander was a hell of a great movie. From its imaginative storyline, to its amazing cast, to it's pounding rock anthem title song by Queen...truly a classic. Its success spawned a bunch of unfortunate sequels, most of which should be avoided at all costs.
An exception to this, though, was Highlander the Series. The show ran for 6 seasons, and starred Adrian Paul as a descendant of the original Highlander from the movie. The series added so much richness, detail, and backstory to the world of the original movie.
One of the interesting quirks of the series was that throughout its run, it featured many superstar cameos. That’s why, today, we’ll be looking at the Top Ten Cameos in Highlander the Series.

Still remember the comedic "whodunnit" episode in which Fitzcairne has to figure out how to help Duncan solve his "murder" by poisoning because, of course ... immortals don't *stay* dead from poisoning, so Fitzcairne ends up dogging Duncan's footsteps while using uproariously absurd tactics to keep himself hidden from the other house party guests.... 😆

Xavier's missing hand bothered me in the past, because if a hand couldn't grow back Duncan would be scarred to hell. My headcannon is that it takes 20 years to grow the hand of a 20 year old man, or even 5 years at an accelerated healing rate and Xavier had a little silly baby hand beneath his claw. This would also explain why his hook was so far from his arm.

True story that rapier kept falling apart and in the Episode: Something Wicked, Adrian Paul broke the sword on purpose and looked at the camera and said that Ritchie needed a NEW SWORD. That is why when Ritchie returned tue next season all ticked off that they broke the sword for the final time.

The dude Giles actor played was an aquaintence of Tessa's family not Duncan. Only reason I remember this is cause I just rewatched that episode a couple of weeks ago. Also fun fact: The actor that played Wesley in Buffy and Angel was also in a later season episode in wich was the entitled junkie son of an American diplomat. Nice vid.

It's been over a decade since I watched the series, I forgot about some of these guest stars. I wish Lambert could've made one or 2 more appearances. Yeah the movie sequels were crap, but to me the exception was Highlander: Endgame with both Lambert and Adrian Paul. They have great chemistry.

There's a wrong detail about Xavier, while he indeed use poison gas and mercenaries to gun down immortal opponents to take their heads, he respected the rule about holy ground. That was explicitly stated in the episode in which he made his return, when Duncan and his mortal enemy Horton had a chat in the Horton family crypt! And what I found very interesting is that Xavier belongs to the circle of baddies to take a student, Morgan D''Estaing. And Morgan was so devoted to Xavier that he tried to avenge him!

It may be an unpopular opinion, but I kind of like the 3rd Highlander movie. The 4th had potential if only it didn't suffer from some of the worst editing I have ever seen in a movie. Hell, there was about a minute or so of the final fight in that one that was literally replayed.

I prefer the theatrical cut of Endgame. The Sanctuary wasn't on holy ground, the sign on the rooftop during the Connor/Duncan fight wasn't blotted out, the final fight didn't have that edit snafu where that scene was replayed, Kell killed Kate, and a couple others that are escaping my memory. Also ran at a brisk 88 minutes, which i enjoyed.

the chances of Connor and Duncan being from the same clan not really far off he Duncan was brought to his parents by someone its never said how far she travailed to do it and this is pretty close to the dark ages the clans of Scotland would have bigger settlements then others so they might have been the biggest within traveling distance that could take someone in. The odds of Duncan finding 3 preimmortals within three decades of each other is more far fetched
