Thank you so much. I just got The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners Chapter 2 Retribution, and my computer was really struggling. It would freeze for a while and I'd die a lot because of it. It now runs completely smooth and with only a little buffering here and there. This is definitely one of the best ways to boost fps in PCVR games.

Im using a Pico 4 headset 2615x2615 per eye i think, will you notice any visual difference using DLSS or FSR? or its just seamless? Another question, is it normal for vr to see blurry on close objects? My vision is 20/20 so not a problem, but things at around 30cm of my face look out of focus, is it normal or i can fix it? Cant find anything relevant online really

Dude. This is sick. I am seeing pretty big gains in performance and it looks way better too. Do you just use the default render and sharpness values? I'm hard pressed to change anything from the default cause it seems to be working great. Thanks for the vid.

I recommend running sharpness up to 1.0 and setting render scale to 0.77, I made a few other tweaks to foveated rendering that further optimized all of my games but I don't have those settings with me at the moment. (I'll post an edit with my full settings soon-ish)

I guess, lowering resolution - will get you ... a lower resolution, which is really hits to visual kind of a game. With this kit, you get uspcaling, which is kind of "high-tec" lowering resolution with saving visual quality as much as possible.

i for real went from like 40 fps to 150 fps after this, why isn't this more well known

You don't have to use steamvr and can use openvr to run iracing which also improves fps

thank you my friend i was playing asseto corsa with 90fps (quest 2 vr) but with pp filters disabled cause each time i enable them my fps drops to 45 even at minimum on low settings and then asw kick in to go up to 72, now i play again at 88-90fpswith ppfilters enabled (sol high) plus gpu usage droped from 99% to 77% the same for cpu from 30% to 22% as far as i see in 2-3 tests |(depending how many drivers the circuit ..etc) i didnt touch anything just i delete cas and i put fsr in notepad as you did! my gpu is rx 6700 and cpu i5 -12400 very happy,the colors are more vivid and the image is more clear and brighter in the center ...and is not my imagination i can see the difference thank you!

It's the only game I play an iv got a rx580 using a rift only get 45 fps but changed to open vr and changed quality in csp graphic adjustments to 87% custom and seem to be getting better results. I'm sure ppf always puts me bk down to 45fps if I have it on. Can't wait to download this in an hour will do update regarding performance

Openxr toolkit is older and not in development anymore, the devs new project is vrperf toolkit so I would go with the later option

Github project tells you what games are supported, but generally yes most Steam games utilize OpenXR, any Oculus PC games use Oculus Runtime instead which isn’t as widely supported as OpenXR on Steam.

@@frxsty_xs had good luck with cas at render scale 1.0, I think you just have to play around with it. Some people recommended fsr and messing with the renderscale. Adjusting that will give you the most performance gains

doesnt work with games with that cheat loading bear thing like vrchat and recroom

@@eatmynutsarchmage4883 i figured :/ perhaps a steamvr extension will work since i have motion smoothing for trackers which works as well as advanced vr settings for playspace stuff But then not sure how it could be made to take video data from steamvr instead of game itself or how bad delay would be Perhaps one day geforce experience implements upscaling for vr games

Do I have to install amd drivers for this to work??? I have Nvida GPU so I have never installed AMD ones, I know this question might look dumb but I have no clue how this mod works, also is it safe to use with games like Pavlov with EASY ANTICHEAT?? cause It would be sweet since the game has really bad performance in some maps.

Nope! Just place the files in you game folder after renaming the openvr dll, and works instantly!

@Justin Durrant well it was mainly for crashers and account security but it didn't really help as there's still problems with it and it removed a bunch of accessibility mods that people used to help them play the game like subtitles and text box's custom cameras and more they have added alot of stuff they removed but there's still alot wrong with it
