High Winds, waves and Storm Damage Along The Lake Michigan Shoreline.
A powerful storm system affected the Great lakes with powerful winds resulting in trees and power lines down as well as raising wave heights upwards to 20 feet on Lake Michigan during the morning of October 25th, 2021. All footage from the Illinois/Wisconsin border region, between Milwaukee and Chicago while a Lakeshore Flood Advisory and Wind Advisory was in effect.

Shots 1-6 - ComEd working to clear a tree from power lines and other utilities that fell from high winds
Shots 7-9 - A tree top snapped off downing power lines to a home from high winds
Shots 10-12 - Powerful winds and waves battering Illinois Beach State Park in Waukegan, Illinois
Shots 13-16 - Powerful winds and waves battering North Point Marina in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois
Shots 17-20 - Powerful winds and waves battering Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin

Wtf blew through here last night was one of the most craziest Autumn storms I’ve ever seen. It was 50 degrees felt like 35-33 degrees. All with heavy rain, thunder and lightning and wind that knocked out power to half of COMED’s service area…but Global Warming is a myth… yeah right.
Soft Maples have a healthy lifespan of appx.. 30 years; after that age, they deteriorate rapidly, internally (Heartwood decays). The video shows exactly the decay ar present.. Slower growing Hard Maple will last up to a 100 years before decaying internally…
Lake Michigan looked mean about 2 hrs ago.
All Soft. Maple trees should. E Outlawed near power lines:: the only reason plant these trees because of rapid growth!

There is Hard Maple (Sugar Maple) & Soft Maple (Silver & Red Maple + other varieties). yes I have a degree in Forestry!
