    i looked at the zvs circuit i think you can change your capacitor values to get not only soft switch and zero volts across the transistor , they do this with the CAP so in the same way you can decrease your cap value to make a super short on time and a long off time to keep your frequency from going to high for what ever reason if you wanted a low frequency with s super short on time you could do it with a custom zvs only it might not be zero volts across the transistor anymore cause you need the charge across the cap to be there this way it simulates zero volts by making the identical potential across the npn so when it turn on it does not see a load from the source instead from the CAP . to my understanding dont quote me ;)

    Thanks for your work. I have been considering a circuit that is rhythmic. Like using a speaker as a drum to generate a small control frequency. Not sure correct term but like a touch sensitive frequency and amplitude generator. I do a lot of reversed system experimention. Interesting results some times. I began using motorcycle charging systems for the ability to handle much greater amounts. I also do infinitely variable chemistry adaptations. Your 8 point pie wheel actually helps me a bit. I have subscribed and looking forward to upcoming information. 🎉

    this circuit is cheep and it work great. You will have to adjust the resister or put in a photometer.

    It sounds to me like you're modulating the ZVS driver circuit - Changing its input voltage, changes it output voltage/frequency - much like a DRSSTC Tesla coil.. Here's something I found one should do to tune such a thing: To power-up your DRSSTC Tesla coil for the first time and to verify self-oscillation, please use the following steps: Put on your safety glasses. Connect the interrupter to the DRSSTC controller. Place an appropriate dummy load in the center of the primary coil. The secondary coil should not be installed at this time. Once again, double check all connections to make sure there are no wiring errors. A simple wiring error can spell disaster for components in your DRSSTC! Connect your multimeter set to DC volts across the DC bus capacitor stack. Apply the input AC power to the Tesla coil. Verify that the proper DC bus voltage is present. Turn on the interrupter and start slowly increasing the pulsewidth. If everything is correct, including phasing, you will hear the classic angry bee sound. If you do not hear the angry bee sound, then the Tesla coil is not self-oscillating. At this point, try reversing the phase. This can be done via the phase switch in the Universal DRSSTC controller, or by reversing the direction or connections of your 1000:1 feedback current transformer. Make sure to perform this step after AC power is disconnected and that you have verified that the DC bus capacitors have discharged to 0 volts! With the phasing reversed, repeat steps 6 through 8 above. If the Tesla coil is still not self-oscillating, then you will have a bit more troubleshooting to do.

    Thanks for sharing. You have some excellent information regarding the DRSSTC. The DRSSTC has feedback that this ZVS does not. This ZVS circuit is connected directly to the Tesla coil primary.

    That's great info Nathan - thank you. Forgive me I'm trying hard to understand this beyond the many holes in my knowledge...! So from this, am I right to think that when you apply a secondary 5V carrier on top of the main ZVS circuit, and apply a secondary frequency to that side, then so long as that frequency is higher than the ZVS switching circuit it will dominate over it? I not sure how the duty cycle of this higher frequency circuit would create a beat frequency that would be different from the actual frequency the duty cycle is within - seeing that the duty is the time period of the square pulse? I have seen how the duty cycle changes the output V/A relationship significantly, but it's still the same frequency - is it a harmonic interaction with the ZVS circuit frequency or with the coils? Thanks!

    the point was the frequency changes the volts and amps. The watts in high voltage are a waste of time. the duty cycle will change the volts and amps.
