I dont have a non start , but while running the vehicle duesnt seem to charge the HV battery while driving , and the regenerative braking also quits working after a time. No DTC 'S get deployed. Ive run a pack integrity test and battery passes.

Have you run the high voltage computer for DTC? The Abs Computer for DTC?

Hi what is the purpose of reseting the battery from the first place?

The relay for high voltage computer was stuck. This resets the stuck contact

Are you going to take the battery out?

Yes, the battery will be replaced with a rebuilt battery. I'll be making a video soon

I usually dont. The 12v & high voltage systems are different.

How long does a hybrid battery last? At around how many miles? Looking to buy 08 escape hybrid

Hybrid Batteries last about 10 years or 130k. I would check to see if the battery has been replaced before.

Is there a way to jump start it like the pre 09 escapes? I have an 09 with like 30k miles that sat for a very long time and now wont start. I doubt the hybrid batteries went bad or what do you think?

No jump start on later models. Mileage or not....the batteries have a life expectancy of 15 years. I would say your problem is the high voltage battery. What's pack voltage?

I had to do this. 2010 there is no reset button. Dealer said I'd need a new battery. Instead I went on KZread, and built a recharger. Cost me about $40, but had to remove the battery somewhat to get access to it. A lot of work, but it works perfectly now. And I left some wires attached so I can recharge it now without removing it.

I've seen these older ford lose charge a lot. I just recharge the battery 80% of the time also.

I have the same Ford Escape 2010 hybrid car. We went on a vacation for 11 days and when we came back my car won't start anymore. The airbag warning light is the only one on. I then tried to turn the car off but when I pulled out the key, there was a ticking sound. Put the key in again and tried to turn on the car and the sound was gone. Now, there's no more sound. Can't start my car, can't turn on lights, and even automatic lock my car with my keys. Looks like my battery is dead. What should be the best thing for me to do?

Don’t know if you figured it out after 2 months, but charge the under hood battery and put a battery maintainer on it if you have one during this procedure. Pull off the triangle shaped access panel on the drivers side of the dash, you have to open the door to get to it. There is a button under that panel that you push to “charge” the hybrid battery if it sits too long. The light on the button will be solid for around 8 minutes, when ready it will start flashing. While it is flashing, attempt to start the vehicles. You may need to repeat this several times until the hybrid battery voltage comes up.

The vehicle sounds like it has a bad power draw. I'm sorry to hear this. I can only recommend recharging battery. You would need a charger that can handle the voltage.

2016 doesn't have a Jumpstart button You have to disconnect & charge battery

Jumpstart button on the 08 escape is on the driver side. There’s a panel when you open the door on the dash. Push it and it will light up. When it goes off it’s done charging.

When I check the voltage it just goes to like 65. 60. 30. 10 . Then to 0 in seconds

Pull the fuse out and check for ohm...resistance across the terminals

Why not? The relay was stuck from corrosion. The vehicle works fine now.
