    What’s that technique you use, when blending with shears, that goes vertical? I’ve seen a few other barbers use it, and I’ve never heard an explanation. I would love to learn more

    Point cutting, used for when there's darker patches throughout the fade, can do the same with the corner of your clippers but just another method for blending

    @@jackscott1181 cool... I definitely could tell it was similar to point cutting. I’m just assuming you pull away from the head and keep the fix blade against the scalp? I usually just go in with the corner of the clipper, or horizontal shear with small taper comb. I appreciate the reply

    For hair to continue to grow healthy it needs to be cut. It’s why so many women have split ends as the hair has reached as far as it can go and then starts to split off itself. Having a cut allows for the hair to continue to grow at a faster pace.
