High Technology in Ancient India | Was Lepakshi Temple Built by Giants? | Megalithomania

The temple of Lepakshi in Andhra Pradesh, India, is seeped in mythological grandeur. The larger-than-life sculptures and exquisite friezes show aspects of Hindu mythology. It has shrines dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu, Papanatheswara, Raghunatha, Rama and other deities. Located a few hundred metres from the main temple is the giant granite bull Nandi sculpture said to be the second largest monolithic structure in India at 20 feet in height and 30 feet in length. The main temple also has a 2.5ft giant footprint which locals say was carved from an original footprint of a giant from an earlier era. There is also the mysterious hanging pillar, the remarkable 'thali bowl' rock carvings and the giant Naga-Lingham, all showing signs of high technology. Although it is said to have been only built in the 16th Century, locals say it is of ancient origin and built by giants.

According to Vedas in Yuga cycle the ages see a gradual decline of dharma, wisdom, knowledge, intellectual capability, life span, emotional and, physical strength. Satya Yuga - Virtue reigns supreme. Human stature was 21 cubits (33 ft 6 inches). Average human lifespan was 100,000 years. Treta Yuga - There was 3 quarter virtue and 1 quarter sin. Normal human stature was 14 cubits (22 ft 4 inches). Average human lifespan was 10,000 years. Dwapara Yuga - There was 1 half virtue and 1 half sin. Normal human stature was 7 cubits (11 ft 2 inches). Average human lifespan was 1,000 years. Kali Yuga - There is 1 quarter virtue and 3 quarter sin. Normal human stature is 3.5 cubits (5 ft 3 inches). Average human lifespan will be 100 years. In the present days we may be said to live in a Kali Yuga, which is said to have started in 3102 BCE with the end of the Mahabarata(Dwapra). This date is also considered by many Hindus to be the day that Lord Krishna left Earth and went to abode

Secondly scripts carved there are either in Telugu language and in Kannada language. At least whatever I saw in the video they are not in Sanskrit language. What I wanted to see you did not focus much was the paintings on the ceilings. It could have given a good idea of how the people of bygone days looked like and the type of dress they were wearing, their hair style, the colours of their clothings etc. Thanks for your lovely video of Lepakshi temple.

Even the distance between those leaves enough space for people to sit...

What are the recesses that resembe reverse dentils underneath the main cornice? I too appreciate Praveen Mohan’s explanations. The Shiva lingam at 13:30 seems to unite male and female genitalia. And pouring liquid over the male as the liquid flows out of the female must have some specific meaning.

If you like this temple you realy need to visit the Hampi temple town. There are so many sites in one area that it will keep you busy for a week . I was there because I had 5 weeks of work 30 KM away..... realy nice And it was the capital of the empire at that time😁

I dont understand why westerners use such terms as Phallic symbol when they see Shiv lingam... You people are exploring history but dont you study what a shiva lingam mean before describing it as a phallic symbol... Always degrading other civilizations without knowing the meanings & heritage
