probably would've been worse hitting soft snow at those speeds and grinding to a halt then slowing down over a long distance like he did on the hard packed snow.

I self-learned skiing from beginner to intermediate for about one month and I had a big crash and hurt my knee. The injury was more than a month ago but I still not yet fully recovered. Skiing is so fun but also very dangerous

Yeah you'll probably get injured again I wouldn't keep skiing if I were you. Your other option is to snowboard because it's better and you won't hurt your knees as easily and also people won't think you're gay

You're just as likely to injure yourself on a snowboard lol... Just going to smash your head into the ground instead of destroying your knees (or both). Get better and get back on those skis soon!

Once did 165 km/h while skiing the so-called “kilometre lancé” in France: scared the sh.. out of me; can only imagine and shudder in horror at the idea of falling at this speed. The guy must have titanium ‘coh-nes’

i got an aero lid like that but from a brand called vultur but their made for downhill skateboarding because we want to go as fast as possible so we go aero and wear lids and have a tuck similar to speed skiers

no joking: the main danger for speed skiing athletes are burns due to the friction heat.

I remember once a long time ago somewhere in the Austrian Alps, there was a track where it measured speed... I went almost a 100 km/h and I almost shit myself... Cant imagine what 245 feels like.
