    For my high-speed train track, I tilted the track to about 15 to 20 degrees in tight bends. Seeing a shinkansen pass by at an angle of 20 degrees at a speed of 300 km/h looks fantastic.

    What an epic build! The high speed train line was built so perfectly, and some superb Network Multitool skills! Looks so epic with the line going through that incredible landscape. And of course the arch bridge was just next level. Great video, bravo! 👏👏

    LET'S GOOOO, MILLAU is BACK 💪🎉 Thank you, have been looking forward to this, VERY excited for you to be back in Millau 😻 Watching for the second time to comment properly now, sorry for the delay :D Epic intro song 🎶 I know creative AI is a sensitive topic, but stlll I have to admit I love that SO MUCH has become possible nowadays. Awesome, always love me some nice public transit 🚆 And doing a dedicated *high-speed* train line like this one for the TGV is still quite a unique build in C:S, i think, I haven't seen that many creators do something like this specifically. I like it 💛 Honestly, I still think that some of the C:S1 CCPs like, the Train Station pack and definitely the Bridges & Piers pack are actually really underrated. There are SO MANY "hidden" possibilities in there, especially together with some choice mods, it's amazing. I love how the high-speed tracks make their way through the terrain and interact with it, even though they at the same time also kinda (have to) "disregard" terrain to a certain extend. Like, it makes it way through the map, bridging where there needs to be a bridge, carving tunnels where there need to be tunnels, etc etc, but at the same time it also kinda works itself into it kinda perfectly. That's very cool ^-^ Would really like to see the tutorial(s) you propose in the video! As you have shown not just today, there's TONS of really neat features and tricks that become possible via the use of relatively few really powerful mods, which many people don't really fully know about I think. So in my opinion, showing that to more people can unlock A TON of creative potential throughout all of our community, and that'd be really awesome 💛 In any case, already thank you so much for showing and mentioning these tips, like the use of NMT or even the re-located outside connections, here in this video, super inspiring and much appreciated 🙌 Even things like using FindIt to get access to the built-in "parking-lot roads" is something I don't see being done often enough (and frankly i don't do often enough myself either, so I'm not "complaining" 😅), so the more often you show this off, the better :D Generally awesome job with the entire build, I really enjoy how it all turned out 💛 It's looking really cool, and/because it was also built with a lot of thought, you bring up a lot of history, considerations about the planning and engineering, etc etc, and all that going into the build I think ultimately helps to make it more immersive, which I love a lot ^-^ One thing I generally really like about your "style" of playing C:S and making videos is that you let yourself be informed by "realistic" thoughts and considerations, like those mentioned above, but at the same time, as I see it anyway, you also don't allow "realism" to get in the way of creating fun, awesome, beautiful things, if you know what i mean :) And that's a great mix, in my opinion. Personally, I believe that too much "realism" can kinda remove the creativity from a build, so I appreciate that you seem to be finding a great balance ^-^ Thank you so much for the new Millau episode, really really love it! 🙌💛 Looking forward for this series to continue, will be fun to find out which project wins the poll ^-^ ALL the best, my friend 💛

    Hey I think you should use the high speed tracks for the ground sections aswell, I have seen that the higher speed limit is applied when using the high speed tracks as ground tracks, maybe it works for tunnels aswell

  • @TeddyRadko

    @TeddyRadko

    This is a really good idea and it would probably work but the rail networks im using dont have a tunnel version at all i think. Ill test it again to make sure im also gonna test some mods that might unlimit the speeds!

    Those too near each other nodes at the entrance of the tunnel by the station may be the cause of the strange trains behavior, there are also nodes like this at the other side of the station

    Curve radius if you want to go 300km/h needs to be above 4000m! Usually a 2000m curve radius is only good for 200km/h maximum or 160km/h optimally. Gradient for high speed trains can be more lenient, up to 4% because high speed trains usually have much more power. But you also need to make sure the gradient doesn't change too quickly or else it'll feel like a roller coaster xD

    @@TeddyRadko kzread.info/dash/bejne/mISrqsmEfMbXcaQ.html check out his video at 1:57 he has a chart for speeds and curve radii! Usually as a guideline if you want 2x the speed you need 4x wider curves because of the forces. The wikipedia article for railway curve radii also is very interesting too. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minimum_railway_curve_radius In my city I used the 2500m-3000m curve radii for 220km/h high speed rail.

    @@TeddyRadko It looks great tho you really demonstrate what you can do with vanilla assets! I also am wondering if it is possible to make the trains run on the left because trains in France run on the left. Of course cars still run on the right in france.

    @@JShrimpma thats right they do. Its the same in *most* of sweden. I dont think itd be very easy or worth it but probably possible if you use one way networks instead.

    @51:03 you are talking about the sus curve, in real live they would avoid the little hill and the line would go around it with a much more gentle curve.

  • @TeddyRadko

    @TeddyRadko

    Ай бұрын

    Im not sure exactly what you mean but the radius a little small here. Another insvisible problem is that i want the city to grow up on the hillside bit so i tried to curve the line away from that as much as possible even if it means a few extra tunnel here and there :)
