🚄 INFORMATION KEY
Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Multiple Units are 6 digit numbers where the first three numbers are the class of train e.g. 390154 would be a class 390. Click Here to learn more
➤ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TOPS#TO...
Headcodes - e.g. 1F32 or 5M00 - These are used by the railway signallers to determine where trains are on the network. Every train within a region has a specific four code ID. Click Here to learn more
➤ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Train_r...
Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.

The 373 noise is just the absolute best.
Very satisfying to see trains outspending car on the motorway
The 373 is one of the OGS 👌
Class 373 sounds amazing ❤
Great video of some classic HS1 action, especially with the 373s! I'll be going to the location near Charing next week and this is a perfect showcase!

Love the map intro!! Awesome way to start video.. Great location, Charing! HS1
Honestly man your a great guy props to you for really showing the speed man i wish to go there one day and your vids are why thanks man
I just wish there were more class 373's (the class 373 is my favourite high speed train)
I can really sense and appreciate the speed thanks to your splendid filming. Great views in my beloved Kent, where i lived for a full year and i was much honoured to film trains too. Great to see old and new gals on the Eurostar service!

Thanks Panos, there’s also quite a variety of shots and locations here some of which show the speed better than others. The Medway Bridge is honestly so incredible to me, the distance and speed makes it for me! This is not my home region but I can definitely see the appeal! 😃
Thank you for the footage!
Can’t wait to watch this I know for sure it will be great 💫
Very nice video as normal keep up the great work 🇬🇧👍
I was watching and noticed how many more southeastern high speed services there were compared to Eurostar services

I'm a year late, but this was a fantastic video!
American here, I am impressed with the UK's HSR network. Beats what we have in the USA for sure! One question, how come the 395s only have one headlight? Wouldn't it be better to have two?
@WaschiXtreme
Жыл бұрын
In the UK most trains have 2 Headlights one on each side and a marker light, at daytime the marker light on the drivers side is turned on and the headlight on the non drivers side is on. (The others are off) at night time the headlight on the drivers side is on and the marker light on the non drivers side is on. (Again the other lights are off) this is for the front and at the rear of the train there are 2 taillights (one on each side) wich are on. The reason why this is the case with the 395s and not the Eurostars (373, 374) is because they operate in France and for France there need to be 2 Headlights on each side. Driver’s side: right Non driver’s side: left

Good location right next door to the M20 Motorway. Eurostar Class 373 and Class 374 are so fast and Southeastern Class 395 Javelins are amazing.

Its hard to think that a big thing like that has just gone 180 to 190 mph and now its right by your side
I rode the train to work in Atlanta, and it is a less thorough system than what UK has especially around London. Still, the ride was very pleasant to me and I didn't have any stress about driving in very heavy traffic during rush hour. The Great Britain has a very nice system and I rode from Gatwick to London when I visited. I can see how it makes more economic sense though, in the USA to use aircraft for travel being so far between most cities across the country. Still, Large cities can and some do benefit from decent train systems.
Great locations👍

@@StarlifeStudios I bet 🤣😎👀 It used to be hard enough tying to get HST power car numbers at 125mph, so Im sure its very difficult at 186mph 🤔🫣👀 Yes there is something unique and fascinating about high speed rail in the UK 😎🇬🇧 HS2 will add to that fascination and excitement, if its ever fully built? 🤔 The only problem down the decades the railways have always endured are politicians/Governments 🤔 Rarely (if ever) have they made good, long term decisions that benefit the railways in this country 🤡🇬🇧

These trains are great. I like especially the 373 because it is not the same boring shit as in Germany. Don't misunderstand, it is great that Siemens has recived orders, but I don't really like the Velaro. Trains with Lokomotives or Power Cars look more interesting and powerful and inside it's not that noisy. I want to drive the 373 at least once. Which route is most likely to take the Class 373?
Great video! How did you get to places like Charing and Harrietsham?
@StarlifeStudios
Жыл бұрын
At both of these locations there are access gates which walkers can use. The land itself is owned by London and Continental Railways (Network Rail). I'm not someone who will trespass, there was always a fence between me and the railway.

Question: Why do the british do the funny thing with their headlights. What does it improve and why don't you just use your lights like most countries
@StarlifeStudios
9 ай бұрын
Hello NoZo! The headlamps are designed to be lit at different times of the day for safety - The offside lamp is used during the day, and then the nearside during darkness, since it's angled slightly to the left and down to illuminate trackside signs and to make the train visible to track workers. Newer trains have dipped and high beam lights for the same reason although the left and right arrangements are no longer required as long as lights are in a triangle shape. Hope this helps 🙂
Sadly Eurostars are not going to Disneyland Paris and it’s due to the effects of the pandemic and the fallout of the EU
